STUPID SHARP SPYDERCO SHAMAN CTS-XHP 🩸 (TSPROF KADET PRO, VENEVS CBN, GUNNY JUICE)

Thank you Chris Celaya for your continued support and giving me the opportunity to bring 2 more of your babys back to life! Both knives came out insane but the Shaman takes the cake! I did this edge start to finish with only 3 grits! Venev CBN F100, F240 & F400 followed by some stropping passes on Basswood & Kangaroo both loaded with 3 micron Gunny Juice. Took this edge down to 16° per side and the finish is what I like to call “semi-polished” or “semi-mirror”. Gives you insane sharpness, excellent aggression, long life and looks very nice also! @SharpestEdge similar to A8mod... It's a mid carbon steel with high toughness and good edge stability. 8% Chromium so very stain resistant. Very very easy to sharpen. Excellent for large choppers & swords where toughness matters.

Hey Sean, how do you prefer to clamp your blades, say a Spyderco PM2. Do you prefer to draw a line from heel to tip or a line from pivot to tip?

All depends on the circumstances. Usually ends up being closer to pivot-tip. If you go to my sharpening playlist and watch my sharpening tips videos, I go over how I decide where I want to clamp it. In general for spyderco, I try to get clamp it in the center of the cutting edge portion of the blade where the stone will be parallel with the ricaso so I can sharpen the entire edge with out tearing up the ricaso. Getting the blade clamped securely where its not moving or wobbling is first priority though!

Kme is more user friendly and I can get just as good results with it as I can with my tsprof. I think kme is a great choice!
