@@Christian--- I can see how it would appear that way and in some very particular situations I'd agree with you but in general I disagree, especially since most modern autos have a "manual" mode that while not as good as the real thing does really help bridge the gap

A modern auto will be the equivalent manual in a drag almost every time, however in oval and track racing id give the manual an advantage 3 out of 4 times. But an auto has an advantage on street driving the same 3 out of 4 ratio. It's very much depends what your doing or getting out of the car. Don't take this as me hating on manuals, I learned to drive on one and still have one that I love! But my auto is definitely faster

When asked if my Mustang is a manual or auto (it's an auto), "Well, i would've gotten a stick." Good for you. However, the ones in my price range that were manual had been RAGGED OUT. My auto was very well maintained and the maintenance was well documented. Btw, it's MY CAR. Maybe i wanted an auto because my wife can't drive a manual.

When people say that I always say "that's like making fun of a top fuel dragster because it cant go around an F1 track as fast as the cars that are designed for those tracks." Cars and especially sports cars are purpose built. People make fun of me for driving an old lifted jeep on mud tires because it's slow. It's not meant to be fast lol it's meant to go off road which is why I bought it and built it for offroad performance. If I wanted a fast car I wouldn't buy a 2001 XJ with 190 hp, but if you want cheap and reliable offroad performance it's a great option.

They're still thinking about putting in a manual. BMW offered them a manual transmission , but it was so bad that it couldn't handle the torque that the engine produced and Toyota almost stopped working on it. They might be working on it still, but as far as I know Toyota will most likely release a manual option if the Supra sells well. Also, not a rebadged Z4 because a) the EU don't allow rebadging and b) Toyota had half of input in the basic framework of both cars.

That video.. wow ever since I owned my first car (you can guess which it is) I start to find it more easy and more fun to change it to my own personal style and spend some time with it. What this video has brought into my silly mind is that I know that I can do anything with a car, no matter the brand or budget. Its so good to change anything with friends in the group and make a project out of it. I can finally know that it is possible to have the experience like in videogames. Yes I know it is harder to do something in real life than in a game where you only click buttons, but here with my own car, it is so much better that I can not describe the satisfaction going through my blood. I am finally a level up to know how many others feel like. Thank you car-community for this hobby and lifestyle.

In extension to your argument about people saying "they built the car, so you shouldn't hate it". I mean I think it's too significant a car to borrow that many parts from another manufacturer and when people say without BMW the 2 cars couldn't have happened, and I'd be completely fine with them not existing. Add the things like no manual, it being more of a Soarer than a Supra, electric throttle and steering that has never to completely kill any and all driving experiences when implemented... Yeah I'm not gonna get on peoples cases for liking it, but I take the car as an open insult, I hate it.
