Absolutely. The big wigs in Nashville Do not want Sturgill, Jinks, Whiskey Myers, Tyler Childers, etc to make it big. They don't want to market that because they found a way to elevate revenue while leaving the true music fans behind. Country music now is just snap beats, low key pop music with a singer who has a twang in his/her voice. It's sad. Sold out a genre for money.

That was probably more of a response to the Bush/Obama extreme interventionist foreign policy. Especially since Donald Trump had not even received his party's nomination when this album came out, let alone when the song was written.
@ryanortiz65947 жыл бұрын
how the fuck did you make this about the potus who is just as worst as the last ones. Listen to Call to Arms. Sturgill is a man who served, unlike trump. And he is against war, and the elite 1%.
@themoose45347 жыл бұрын
Ryan Ortiz Sturgill is a man who served and deserves nothing but respect for it. But he is not against the "elite 1%" which is a constantly redefined, ambiguous term depending on the topical political narrative so we really can't speak for him on that subject. Sturgill doesn't need Music Row's support to make good, honest music. That's the establishment he's railing against.
