STX Rival Lacrosse Helmet

Hey brotha, I know it's been 2 years since this video was made but I definitely wanted to leave a solid comment and review of your video here: Off the bat I want to say thank you for an actually amazing review of this helmet and simply a great quality video that was straight enough to the points that needed to be made to truly understand the Rivals outstanding features but you said these with enough personal tough, I wouldn't be surprised if you have everyone who watches this video and is a Cascade fan convinced enough to make the switch. The team I'll be playing for in JUCO uses these helmets and although I've used cascades for awhile and currently sport a Pro7 still as the S and R just don't fit my melon head, I began to research the Rival in hopes that I may find something somewhere stating more info about the sizing and so far I've only heard good things about the Rival and this video definitely put it over the top. From the looks of it too, seems like sizing won't be an issue and I'll be able to look mean still with this newer Rival. All in all I thoroughly enjoyed this review of the helmet and found it to be extremely helpful.

That’s a really cool helmet I personally don’t like the color but I like stx helmets because they are cheaper than cascade

Football players love this helmet, people who don’t/never played it won’t. It’s more protective but heavier and thicker. It’s a schult helmet, expect a thicker, heavier, and protective helmet. My highschool team are now rocking it, it takes some time to get used to but imo it’s better. Love this helmet.

Considering the very wide age range of people involved with the sport, I can't expect young people to understand how market competition works. You explain it pretty well, but if they can't understand it the explanation is lost on them. Tom, good stuff as always, and I'm excited to see how the Rival shakes up the market.

I actually like the look of the Rival over the Cascade S helmet. I think if you compare a white S to a white Rival then the Cascade looks better simply because they've been around a lot longer and look the same, but if you take a Satin rival against a matte blue S....I think the rival is cooler looking and unique enough to stand out, but not enough to draw too much attention

I’m a big stx fan and I love all there gear and I love that there improving on there last helmet but I’m still rolling with cascade they are way more clean and fit really well I am super excited to see what stx does next and hopefully they will look like a cascade helmet or better

Are the buckle clips rivets or screw? I know the buckles on the R are riveted and that can be annoying for face off, with the buckles constantly coming in clipped

I’ll be honest, I love the look of the rival, and the customization of it, but I still like the cascade s more. It’s just, I don’t really like how the back looks on people and the pump thing hurts like hell, and it’s fairly more heavy then the s. But other than that I do like the helmet

I really like the look at this helmet I also like that it's made by schutt because now it adds a new competitor in the lacrosse Market even if it's through STX. be really cool to see other football helmet manufacturers make lacrosse helmets like riddell it'd be cool too see a lacrosse helmet with the SpeedFlex technology on the straps

Huge step in the right direction. I like it a lot. I love having more manufacturers in the market like how it is football helmets. I think it's cool to have new blood in the industry. The stallion was rough but this one has potential. I want to try one on to see what it is like.

my gosh dude same in my league we have giant goalies and they absolute destroy me and it hurts with a cascade s, so hopefully riley's next helmet will be protective and i hope he is ok!

STX seems close on this one, happy to see them continuing to develop helmets and Schutt is no doubt respected in Football for their helmets in general. I think this one is just a bit too rounded looking and the vents are a bit ugly in my opinion. Perhaps I just have too much brand loyalty, but I have used Warrior/Brine helmets in addition to Cascade helmets in the past.
