Thanks for this review. One thing i like about this bike you didn't mention is the ability to roll the bike folded like a suitcase but with the handle bars in normal extended position. Not really necessary but if want to move it in a more compact position it's a nice option. I've been reviewing lectricebike 3.0 comparing with this one and I think I prefer this one. I don't like the big company logo on the lectricebike. Though that isn't a deal breaker. Right now with their sale at $999 with a choice of 5 free accessories it's tempting to purchase their bike but I'm not ready to purchase a bike right now. I prefer the battery accessibility and location of the battery on the Blix, the lighter weight, lower step over, and the wheel magnets are nice too. Glad to see knobby tires on this. Other reviews of this bike didn't have knobs. I also prefer the narrower tires. I will check out the 3rd bike you mentioned.

Just a heads if you order a Vika+ now. Just received mine today, and they currently do not come with hyraulic brakes, only mechanical. Also, they eliminated the double locking latch on the handlebar stem. The one delivered now is a threaded handle that you screw to tighten the stem, without any safety latch. In my opinion this is inferior and less safe than the older double latch.

I have the eBrompton and feel like buying it was a $4000 mistake. I'd much rather have this bike.

My wife and I LOVE ours. They were just stolen a couple months back, which sucked, but we had two great years on them and will most likely repurchase. My only issue is that I wish power assist was tied to torque instead of speed. At higher speeds, the ghost pedaling is strong, making it not really worth pedaling. It’s pretty much just an ON switch. Most bikes are like this, it seems, but I wish I could pedal as hard as I wanted and get the boost on top of that. Otherwise, terrific bikes.

I've been considering this e-bike, but hydraulic brakes? Did something change recently, because Blix now makes these as mechanical and moved the bell.

Really? I'd contact them, it doesn't sound right that they'd move back to mechanical.

The BMS in the battery pack and the charger are low quality and must be replaced and or updated.
