I’ve always dressed like this. It’s just nice basics that you can put together anyway you want it stays in style forever because I’m 69 and I’ve been wearing this look for years…😊

Very simple , for 30 yrs i had my mix and match wardrobe, with very classic items (not expensive) wich always give others the impression of style and class i am told

As a color and style Consultant for 30 utf Stripes and dots Will always make a good mix and match base too

I agree! When it comes to patterns, the only patterns I’d wear is dots, stripes and sometimes leopard print. Leopard print feels very trendy right now but used to be (and hopefully will be again) such a timeless classic.

This is the most cliche, not the only way to create a ”style uniform”. Any combination you personally like to wear and has repeat elements can be called that. Just for clarification for those who don’t know. For example mine is a roomy bottom, top made of natural fibers (summer mostly linen, winter merino) and a fun shoe.

Thanks for engaging with the content! Just to clarify - this video actually isn't presenting 'the only way' but rather offers a systematic approach to building a cohesive wardrobe through style uniforms. The framework I share comes from studying extensively what makes certain outfits work so well together, broken down into actionable steps. Your approach with natural fibers demonstrates exactly what I love about personal style - everyone can take the core concept of a uniform and adapt it to their individual needs. That's what makes fashion so interesting!

There's a difference between having a capsule wardrobe (much easier when all your clothes are neutral) and having a style uniform. A person't individual uniform doesn't have to be neutral and classic, it might be comprised of things that are a bit out there (think Helena Bonham Carter) but still follow the same pattern every time. And that's great, otherwise everyone would look like an insta clone.

Oh I love this perspective! And Helena Bonham Carter is such a perfect example - she totally owns her unique style while keeping it consistent. The way I see it, keeping things pattern-free just makes life so much easier. It's wild how much mental space it frees up when you're getting dressed! Thanks for adding such a thoughtful take to the conversation! 💕

@@Bridget.Fisher I agree that's it's a great way to battle decision fatigue and looking put together every day. I just don't love how it can lead to everyone looking similar and lacking personality. Thanks for your thoughtful reply!

Thank you for sharing your insights! You make such a great point about decision fatigue vs personal style. It's all about finding that sweet spot between efficiency and staying true to ourselves 😊❤️

I think a "style uniform" is not a planned capsule but rather a personal go to combination that one knows works everytime and represents a personal style. for one that can be jeans, t shirts and sneakers, for others dresses in bold colours and heels...I love a minimal style, but I also love people that rock something bold and different. I think it must be possible to create something like a capsule with bold colours and prints, when you have the basics to combine with and colours that match. Otherwise all look the same, that would be so boring! And I think most flowerprints, checks and houndstooth are also classics...whereas for instance older generations wouldn't have worn leopardprint for ages, because it was considered tacky

I’m currently working towards building a style uniform, and while I love prints, I certainly need to limit the amount of prints I have in my wardrobe. Great video, it certainly contains very helpful information

Thank you so much! I'm glad you found the video helpful 😊 Finding the right balance with prints can be tricky - do you have a specific color palette in mind for your style uniform? I'd love to hear what direction you're going with it!
