Izzy idk if you read these but against Vettori last fight, your feints were brilliant. Even to someone who's never practiced striking like me, it was beautiful to watch. Because he thought he was gonna charge you and bull rush you, but the feints would freeze him. He was biting on them like crazy. That just shut him down, it was a work of art

Yeah, that's why when people thought Colby was going to be able to stand with Izzy or take him down, I just laughed. Given how much slower Colby is, compared to Izzy, and being about 5-6 inches shorter --- made even shorter since he would have to stand in a ore crouched position in order to dive for take downs --- he would literally be picked apart by the 6'4" - 6'5" Izzy, a natural 200 pounder, with no fat on his lean frame... who stands taller than his actual extremely taller frame, who is as agile as he is fast, or about 98% faster & more agile than all other guys at the UFC. The only reason Jan was able to take him down and hold him down is because Jan is 6'2" or 6'3" and walks around 230 - 240lbs and is fast as well and a Black belt on the ground. Small natural 190 pound, 5'11" Colby MAY BE, if he's really lucky, able to trip & take Izzy down, being a D1 wrestler, but before he knows it, Izzy's back on his feet.... cracking him in head with punches & elbows. BTW, the same thing will happen, when Colby fights 6'2" Leon Edwards, who is just as fast and agile as Izzy, who also doesn't over extend himself for take downs & only strikes with 90% power, always ready to move around....

When you're facing more advanced opponents you can use the low-kick feint, BUT you double the feint after you've showed the first low-kick feint. Go to 3:19 in the video in the clip where he's facing Costa. Izzy is first showing him a low-kick feint, then a double step low-kick feint. Watch it 0.25 speed and focus on his front foot if you can't catch it.
