I have to add to this and mention that with celebrities specifically, a change in eyebrow position is almost always a cosmetic injection (like Botox) or a surgery (like a brow lift or blepharoplasty). I love what you spoke about in this video though - just wanted to add context for everyone else.

You are not making people insecure, you're dissecting and deromanisizing "good looks" by teaching the nitty gritty od proportions and details. And giving celebritiey examples that we ourselves 😢es wouldnt put together. You know I was growing up ugly and clueless thinking there's no hope and I'm cursed. Not untill Kim K (yeah I know) showed the contour and spanx and BTS i tried and it made a difference. Then googled makeup tutorials and (not to sound bitchy) saw their B4 bare face I saw the light and hope and realised it was possible and achievable when there's somene to spill the tea and help you along the way.(No the general public wasnt aware of the tricks of trade, no matter how long they existed) Especially you that break it down so aptly and thoroughly. Thank you.

I’ve been watching your videos for so long now and you have always made it so clear, too clear sometimes that your message is not to tell anybody that they need to change anything. It’s always been “IF you are looking to do this, here’s how to do it.” I know you want to help your audience, but keep in mind there will always be these people who NEED to feel offended by everything and let out their insecurities somewhere. Listen to your audience but not much. You are empowering ASF!

Yes, and she always describes various features in positive way. Every feature has its beauty. This is important. We often want what we don't have, but that doesn't mean what we have is ugly.

It’s interesting that people see your content as fostering insecurities. Because it’s helped me immensely. But being in the style sector for a while I noticed there’s two groups of people: 1.) the people like myself who like to look at their body and their face through an objective lens. So kibbe and your content have helped me lean into what works and avoid what doesn’t work for my body. It’s not offensive to acknowledge that certain lines, makeup or hairstyles don’t work for me. In fact, it crosses things off the list so I can focus on what is best for me. Less trial and error, so I can focus on the fun of style and go in the right direction 2.) then there’s people that need a holistic approach, like with Rita’s system. They don’t really like to acknowledge their physical attributes much at all. Color analysis and kibbe feels like it stifles them . And they like style with a primary focus on self expression vs something to harmonize with your features Neither is better than the other, but I think people in the second group get offended by your content

I resonate with this a lot! There was actually a video I published earlier this year that talked about the difference between taste vs style which is essentially what you’ve mentioned here. I think there definitely needs to be a balance between the two!
@minervarose766423 күн бұрын
I'd go a step further and say it isn't even about "what works" vs "doesn't work." Rather it's about what your goal is, and whether you are successful in achieving it. Eg. Look at Rose's ashy blond at 5:45...just because it's not "harmonious" doesn't mean she shouldn't go for that hair colour! Maybe she wants to look edgy, or interesting, in which case it's the perfect choice. I don't think knowing our season, body type etc limits us at all! Rather it gives us the insight to play around with fashion/ colour to achieve what we want! For instance - a soft summer can totally rock a black outfit. It's just that the visual impression she creates will be very different from how a winter will come across.

i've been bleaching my eyebrows for the last few months and am super pleased but, I noticed after retaking my ID photo, my lower face looked super long! My last round of bleach has grown out quite a bit and while Rosé's tips have worked for me, since I like my natural hair color, a better option would be to not lift the brow as light my prefrence as to direct the gaze away from my long lower third. My brows are really full natrually so I've found that trimming them so more skin is visible between the hair has a similar softening effect! unfortunately, the darker brow makes is harder to do eye makeup, so I've been using mascara again (kinda like your advice for a face like Renée Zellweger!) I like a more round eyed look but unfortuantely, mascara can make a the space between a low brow bone and the eye look even more crowded (as you've mentioned), so I've been creating that more cat-eye shaped lash. I guess makeup is all about give & take! Thank you for all the great advice you share!

She looks like she had a chin reduction that’s what really stood out to me. And lip enhancement whether through injection or just a plumper or doing her lip make up differently.
@naurrrre22 күн бұрын
oh the chin is definitely different
@rrroxlana10 күн бұрын
Chin reduction is not something you can do privetly as a celebrity. It's a big operation and takes months to heal. So no, she probably never got any jaw surgeries. Also her lips was always quite full and pouty. She just uses more gloss now, which leads to bigger appearing lips obviously.

Omg you look so pretty 😢😢😢❤❤❤ edit: i love rose and she is so talented, however i think her eyebrows being seen more up on the face is due to some surgerical lifting, and the blond transition was to distract the audience from the surgery, as subtle as it was.

As someone who got the whole analysis package, I still find these videos quite helpful like added content. Same as the celebrity example, I have low-set brows but they're also thick and straight While watching this video, I actually realized how I like having straight and dark eyebrows. Even if Jenn suggested an arched and thinner style, I know it's suggested only if I want to lean more feminine. It's because of her explanations that help me realize why I like my eyebrows even if it looks "masculine"; I like the subtle intensity it gives my otherwise very Ingenue (youthful and feminine) face I don't see your content as "fostering insecurities for women". I see it as giving me options and helping me imagine possibilities, while helping me understand how and why individual features and the whole picture come together ☺️ But I suppose because the body/face is the subject matter, there will be people who are still working out their relationship with themselves who may see it as pointing out "flaws" when really, these are simply descriptors My only gripe is the song jumpscare because I've been trying to avoid it, as I've been hearing it everywhere 😂 but that's a personal gripe and not at all about the quality of your content haha!
@stylerefinement15 күн бұрын
Thank you so much for this comment! Yes - these options are highly dependent on the image you are striving for at the end of the day, so there is no single right answer ❤ I'll be more mindful of the background music with future videos hehe. Happy New Year!

everything always makes so much sense, i dyed my hair lighter after having dark hair for so long lol but only after cutting my hair bc i felt it was dragging my face down but i think it was the darkness that was highlighting my lower half and my sparse eyebrows which were impossible to match w the hair omg tysm for keeping this channel going. it's so informative, validating, and enriching.

low set eyebrows are considered very youthful and feminine in my country, so this is surprising! caucasian and mixed people tend to look much more awkward with higher eyebrows due to the brow bone protrusion too, so lots to keep in mind

I'm so happy you've made all these eyebrow videos. I've learned how to enhance my brows to work with my whole face. I have black eyebrows too but salt and pepper hair; I use a black/brown pencil or dk. brown powder to fill in the gaps in my brows and think the darker brow is good for me becos it draws the eyes up to them {I think} , and softens other areas that have some wrinkles or undereye discoloration. I have medium olive skin color. I used to hate my dark brows and now I see they are my face's new best friend.....hahahaha . I am 72.

My eyebrows are super dark and my skin is very pale so i want to lighten them to get a softer look. The problem is i have tried bleaching them but it goes a warm golden yellow colour. It looks shiny and clearly bleached. I want a soft, very light brown look like rose but how
@chadr185620 күн бұрын
you can try toning them with skin safe toners or color correcting products with a purple, blue or magenta base. you can also try using (skin safe) hair dye or beard dye with a cooler color to tone down the brassiness. something else you can try is letting the brows grow out some more & letting the dark, new hairs town down the color. i would also start slow - bleach the brows to your desired lightness and leave the dye/toner on for the conservative amount of time as per the instructions (or less!) - you don’t want to end up with purple brows or brows that are too dark! you can always tone them more later on.

Bruh, the thumbnail is a ponytail lifting and maybe a subtle (at least comparing what westerners have been doing) buccal fat removal and blepharoplasty 🥲 , not something one can acomplish with makeup or hair dye, even her hairline is higher than before. Also I think she went to the same surgeon Wendy went, she still looks good, but I think her face is more generic now, I literally thought it was Wendy the first time I saw that thumbnail.
