Aloha! In this video I show the various styles of wool diaper covers. These woolies can be paired over an absorbent cloth diaper such as a fitted, prefold, or flat. I've included examples of knit wool covers and interlock wool covers.

I like the Babee greens wool covers, sloomb fitteds. Haven’t tried anything else.. what cover would you choose if you could only do one snap on cover?? I want to try the puppi is it worth it?

@@justnicole7983 I love Puppi covers, and they fit for longer due to the One Size adjustability. But Babeegreens is my overall favorite snapping wool cover, if you don't mind buying multiple sizes. Babeegreens is so soft and works over any absorbency. Puppi covers are so trim fitting that sometimes it's hard to fit them over a bulky diaper. I do have a separate video explaining all about Puppi wool covers.

I have a variety of wool covers thanks to your videos. They have been so helpful to building my cloth diaper stash. My newborn is too small for them now, but I look forward to trying them all. I have the disana knit soakers, babee greens side snaps and a soaker, and a sloomb interlock soaker. I would love to try skirties and longies :)

We do ec and especially at night. I think a pull on cover would be hard to get off a sleeping baby. I’m thinking of the abrazo for night time only but I can’t decide on a size. She’s 17lbs and 27in tall and quiet chunky at 4 months. I feel like the medium would fit better but I’d like something that would last longer but I feel like the large might be too bulky. What do you think?

Hi! We enjoy using the Abrazo wool cover at night. That's mostly when we use it. I would recommend a size large. There wasn't much sizing guidance when I purchased (as soon as the Abrazo was released). Now I understand the sizing better. In a classic cover my baby would wear M. The M Abrazo fits S and M. The L Abrazo fits M and L. So instead of having lots of growing room, it feels like my baby is going to outgrow the M Abrazo soon. 💜 Heidi

oooh I'm thinking of getting an Abrazo but so pricey! And the color choices are more than my new mom brain can handle lol. Do you love them? Do they work well over stretchy flats? I absolutely love the switch to stretchy flats and I'd love some wool that's trim too. I tried the new babeegreen pull on thingy with stretch fabric GMD added, but it was so trim that it made EC too difficult haha. Looked beautiful though! Lately we don't even use covers that much around the house and baby just sleeps naked at night on a prefold and wool puddle pad so I'm thinking of just getting one small Abrazo and that could be enough :). Does the hook & loop on the inside against baby's belly feel weird? Or is that soft? Thanks so much!

Hi! I love the looks of the Abrazo, but I'm not loving the fit of size M on my 5 month old right now. I think it will fit better once he is walking. Right now when he tries to roll from back to front the cover restricts his movement. It could also be that I use it with our bulkiest nighttime diapers. I paid for the Abrazo plus $15 shipping from Canada, but The Blythe Life in the USA will carry solid colored Abrazo covers very soon and they offer free shipping on orders over $75. I'm so glad to hear that the stretchy flats are working out for you! Did you end up making your own DIY flats? Right now my favorite to pair over trim flats are the Puppi wool covers. They are super trim and allow for good freedom of movement. Green Mountain Diapers just started offering the snap version of the Puppi covers. The hook and loop version is even easier for EC, but I use both. Shipping from Poland from puppidiapers.com/en/ is reasonable, if GMD doesn't have a certain version. Filming this video also made me realize how much I love bubble shorts. My baby is about to outgrow xs, so I ordered small bubbles from Truly Charis. They just released their fall heavyweight colors and midweight colors are releasing soon. There's a discount code in the FB group for 20% off the fall colors list price on the website. Oh, and the hook and loop on the inside is soft and mostly touches the diaper.

@@ECpeesy and I personally like shorties and bubbles, but my husband is the main EC'er in the house and he much prefers anything that snaps or velcros so I'm cool with that :) maybe pull ups when baby is bigger

@@ECpeesy and I did make my own flats :D sorry for separate replies haha, I'm trying to bounce baby while typing xD I got the hang of my serger with polyester thread but not at all with the wooly nylon thread, so right now all my flats are raw edged and it's totally fine. I cut them 24" which is just perfect with a little room to grow. OS defied the purpose of trim fit of flats for me. LO isn't very chunky. It's just wonderful to see her in something truly comfy. Happy to resell my workhorses :D

What would you recommend instead of wool??? Trying to be vegan in clothing as well as diet.

Most cloth diapers use polyester PUL or TPU as the outer waterproof layer. For something more similar to wool, you can make a soaker or longies out of polyester fleece (aka plastic). It's soft and functions similar to wool in being water repellent. Maybe not completely waterproof. But since the polyester doesn't have lanolin to neutralize urine, it will need to be washed more frequently. I think polyester fleece covers get washed with every pee or two. 💜 Heidi
