It’s about checking impulses. I’ve recently quit smoking cigarettes and essentially I have to reprogram my mind. The craving arises, and I have to check it as soon as it comes. As soon as I check it, the craving goes away. This cycle reinforces the thought that I hold the power and that in a nutshell is the reprogramming process. But it can be used for anything detrimental to your health and well being. You gotta take control of your life and that means keeping that ego in check.

How you quit cold turkey or did you use products like the nicotine patches? The only time I was even close to being off them was being out of town I didn’t smoke for almost a lil over a week but soon as I get back home I immediately brought a pack of cigarettes

Currently doing the same thing with alcohol. Almost 60 days sober with straight mental discipline. No rehab or medication. Check your cravings at the door👍

Was never that much into rap, but had heavy respect for this group since the early 2000's. Some of these young men are very cerebral, albeit with a slight violent streak to them. And no disrespect to any rapper after this era of rap, I actually don't even listen. From time to time I do, but it's usually rather lack luster.
