Excellent advices I can allocate hopefully to my 8 year old trident maple next year… 🙏👍 Thanks Jelle 🙋♀️

tridents are a lot less prone to throwing wild buds, fortunately!

I absolutely love field maples, they make such beautiful bonsai. Last year in full summer I managed to rescue about 20 of them from a construction site and not a single one has died, such vigorous trees and if you keep on top of the growth the leaves will stay nice and small.

@@GrowingBonsai Hahah - my point exactly! 😅 no safety boots, barefoot bonsai! 🤣 just some Aussie humour! ❤️ This was an excellent video btw - very grateful for you sharing your knowledge, and the time it must take to put it all together… 🙏🏻

Thx John! I am not sure why I hardly ever show my bigger trees. I guess I should show more of them. I have about 50 trees of this size I am working on!
@JohnThurlbeck5 ай бұрын
@@GrowingBonsai - with 50 or so larger trees still to do that means you’ll have your hands full now! 😂 Do you also have a full-time job, besides the trees? If you do, life must be crazy in the growing season, my friend! 👏

Hello Jelle, once again nice to see the development of such a great project. Are you going to be in the vicinity of BlackLabelBonsai or Wernerin Düsseldorf any time soon? Can you link the first Video of this acer?

Hey Jey, I LIVE in the area of Werner. I will be doing a demo at the Kreativ Fest in September, and will spend considerable time there. End of August I will drop in at the bonsai werkstatt too. Why?

Why dont you remove the straight trunk completely the other trunk has better taper and I feel this tree would be better with one trunk but thats just my opinion ps love you work you taught be alot and im learning alot from you
@GrowingBonsai5 ай бұрын
I HAVE thought about doing that. But I do not have twin trunks in my collection. :).
@RICKDIED5 ай бұрын
@@GrowingBonsai Im in the same boat, also working on my first twin trunk its still young 3 years old. Im hoping my trunks doesnt fuse when the trunks get bigger because there is not alot of space between them. But bonsai trees are ever changing and you did good work on the tree cant wait to see how it evolves.
