This theme was a mixed bag to prep, the concept was cool, but the amount of issues with some cars, how you can't air control the bikes, rain being a factor, only a handful spawning in. Was a fun idea but lessons have been learnt from this

Mid-late 60's is when spoilers started to be introduced to F1, the first team to use them absolutely walked the race, so by two sessions later everybody had them. There were theories about putting spoilers on racing cars in 1939, but "events" got in the way. GPLaps has an interesting video about it.

Yea... great idea for traffic, but oh so terrible result. open-wheelers caused so many issues that the race was nearly unplayable. But well, at least they tried :)

@@DiNmiTe The cars weren't even that bad. I was one of the last to get a car, got the same respawn bug as broughy at the airport putting me back to the quarry, tried to make it up the normal line on chilliad, failed and my car got stuck falling back down.

i think Brough pays wayyy too much attention to offroad traction loss. this 60s F1 car was so awful in this because of lack of grip and stability. i guarantee Pr4 was better

GFRED SUMMARY SERIES Gfred #265: G-PHred - Micro Machine Misery . . . . SPOILER ALERT After an eventful rally race in the Baller, it’s time for Gfred. But before that, Broughy took a brief break. And it seems like the brand-new Willard Paradox becoming a fan favorite. And no, he already read that pink Dune’s Sponsors way earlier upon his return. Of course he’s struggling to get the menu right to start the race, until he chose to start the race in Baller Raid and with Rain for Carnage. Zearxy asked “Hey husband. You know what’s tasty?” Broughy hoped it’s Pizza but everyone guessed correctly. Zearxy said “I was thinking pizza and wings or burgers…” so it wasn’t exclusively. And Broughy asked if she think of that without any influence from Chat like Phil whatsoever. The star’s aligned since he thought the same 15 minutes ago. So, both independently come to a similar conclusion. And so, the chat expressed their approval. So Pizza for Dinner then. And he made his plans, Gfred, Marbles, Random Clip, End Stream, Pizza. Dinmite asked “Probably a long shot but request to allow Stryder and Rampant Rocket for this Gfred?” and it’s allowed since any car is a part of the theme. Hammer said “Could be smort and order pizza now, then it's less time to wait on it arriving after you finish...” but Broughy said it’s too risky. Hammer said “Life’s a Risk” The start will be an interesting one with a little bit of carnage. And it is a lot of carnage indeed. By holding back and just waiting, he already propelled himself forward. A ‘smidge’ of Carnage indeed, a little more overkill than what he needs. He announced today, that the traffic will be those from the Micro Machine themed Sub Badges. He’s now considering a Random Select with those cars with the correct badge colors too. He enjoyed GPHred because climbing the Lighthouse isn’t slower since Scuba Suit doesn’t exist. However, Chat submitted the Dad Joke quite late. He told the Run Skippers how much they missed the beauty of Dad Jokes, as well as the Traffic Context. He’s unsure whether someone is a pioneer in going to the right or didn’t cut the grass to the left for some reason. Excaliq donated “Get an umbrella. You'll catch your death of cold” so it’s gonna be tricky. And yes, Rampart Rocket is allowed. Anyway, he failed to caught the Mini Dump, even though it was the big one who’s supposed to be the Badge. And he got this 60s Open Wheeler, the 2nd Highest Sub Badge you can get, 3 Years of KZbin, 9 Years of Twitch. And then he begins his Sellout Mode. At least there’s the Real Dump at the Quarry. And Bloody Squirrels’s Rampart having a near miss with Broughy in the air. Of course, he also clipped and spun out from a bush at the exit. Chompette said “This car has an OTL of 1 so prob not bad to stick with. The PR4 is 1.6” And yes, the 80s F1 Car is on the 10th Year of Twitch, but its usefulness will end as we get closer to the Chiliad section especially in the Rain. Though there’s also rally cars around. Will it spawn however, is unknown as he hit the railings at the Brakeboost Offramp to dodge the Rampart. He called RT3000 the Convertible, forgot their real names. He spotted a Bifta at Pillbox Hill, which is too ingrained for Broughy to say the Micro Machine counterpart. He saw an R70K when he hit a tiny Dump. His situation isn’t too bad, so he’s questioning whether he should switch or not then take Elevator. And since he never did rain on PH, he had to do it to mix it up. However, the Open Wheeler is so narrow that it missed the Parkade and he landed on the Walkway Bridge next to it, somehow. And he got trapped between an edge, a palm tree, and the wall. He HAVE To bail. He at least had the chance, and now it turned into Gfred Survival, stranded at the Airport, forced to run up. He begged for a car at the top level. There is… almost nothing, only a Rampart Rocket that got beached right at the edge. And another at the other side. Better than nothing, and being flattened by GuilleBu’s RT. It’s terrible to reverse though. He really hates having to take this thing. And he immediately hit the Airport Jump Ramp on the Dismount and died. At least the Winky that spawned right after won’t kill him. A 4x4 Sub Badge, and another Rampart just shos him away at the landing. As he found his 60s F1 Car, he can’t believe there’s only two people behind him… before it instantly respawned him which means he lost the car. He’s now fuming. And the only thing he can have… is the Mini Dump. He went through everything… and he can’t even enter one which makes it pointless. But at least he found another 60s F1 Car. So yeah, the Switching Cars Respawn Bug still exist. It all goes in where it all begin, almost last instead of near Top Five. Fantastic. Gfred is the best indeed. He spotted a Stryder which is a boogey bike for sure. While he said that Rampart and Stryder replace ATV and Snowmobile Slot… why didn’t he pick any of the Blazers then? He’s unsure whether he should take a Bifta, which he forgot the Offroad Traction is to begin with. His Open Wheeler loves the bump enough to reach 150 too. He had to dodge traffic nicely to enter the Senora Road as he past a slowed down Glass Pot in his 270K. Chompette said 0.15, but nobody sees Bifta right now, neither is the rally car (which is likely to be Mesos), so he had to stick with this 60s F1. He got a perfect view of what his race would have been if not for the Complete Airport Disaster. Now he asked people if they can count the total time, he lost at the Airport alone. He saw poor Gulle Bu running back to Joshua, probably messing up the River Jump. Nikla suggested “Yeah exactly just cut it out on KZbin. Nobody will notice” He just ‘happened’ to lose the Airport Footage and Nothing Happened. However,… this car failed to do Elevator. So, he had to swerve… and still failed. He begged for more momentum to go through the steep part and try again. So I guess there’s the nuances that some parts aren’t as steep as others, and he had to learn those new things, since they will be important for SnowFreds. LucherFred showed that it wasn’t a guarantee. It’s easier than Hotlap, but OG is still the guarantee, which isn’t even guaranteed in Lurchers. He eventually makes it to the top though. He wouldn’t be surprised if he’s still 25th since he had no idea where he is. But maybe people had issues as well. And of course, the Descent is a bumpy ride, but at least they’re good offroad. Chompette said it’s 1965 Honda RA272, confirming the GTA name, 727. And he almost flew over into the Sawmill. He swerved to dodge Exzesco’s attempt to do Hotlap in Bifta. And of course, remember that Position Standings are broken in PH so you won’t know the result until the very end. Now he wonders how much faith did he have on this through Hail Mary. He struggles for control again at the Train Dismount as Fiveow have some Gift Subs. Though there is indeed nothing to lose at this point as Turbo takes the win. Lok is a close 2nd and he wonder what did Turbo use for the win. Turbo confirmed that he used PR4 all the way as Broughy barely failed with the Elk Leap Skip. And so does Lok too. That tells Broughy that the OTL of PR4 needs to be nerfed even more, of TEN. He remembered about the Galileo Bush, but he still hit it anyway, which ruins his Dismount Hill climb including a spin, along with more Bush Turbulence. He did the first part of Zancudo Entrance well, but then he flips upside down at the second. This 727 handles some part of the track well, some aren’t. AND it is like a tortoise, you can’t roll it back. And so, he had to bail in an empty road. COMPLETELY empty. Glass tried to ram it, but it didn’t work. As he run to Zancudo, he said the tale of one Sub Badge, which he doesn’t have… and it seems like he said either the Rhino or the Lazer. And it was the Gold Tank, a legit part of the traffic, maybe he can find it. And even that is ruined when JuJo, also in 727 killed him, RUN’S DEAD. No Tanks. Fachuro predicted it “He’s going to get run over”

What a Nightmare. He wondered what his result would be… and there’s NOTHING in Observatory either. And… he found another 727. An Absolute Pain and Misery. Same car yet again. So many cars he got but 99% of the race are in this. That tells you something gone wrong. He’s in denial that he takes the Chat’s words to cut this part again. At least he just went through some 360s at the Zancudo Entrance, he might have rage quit otherwise. JuJo waited even though he doesn’t need to. He had to swerved by a PR4 at GOH which led him to lose control and hit the railings. Broughy had Issues today. Another 727 blocked his path and ruined his Hail Mary… so screw it, he’ll swim. What a Nightmare today. So much promise before the Airport, and he had to cut a lot to make this a Flawless Gfred. Chompette said “Okay I have added the CR727 righting-force-help to the file now XD”, but it doesn’t do any good for Broughy now. Too Late. Chompette said “Thank you for bug testing! 😉” At least the Gfred Spirit is still here, still going to the end. He’s somehow 14th after all of that while there’s at least NINE DNFs. How is that possible indeed. Are things so bad that when DNF triggered they didn’t continue? The Abandonment of Gfred Spirit. Nine Minutes away from the Leader. Darx said “I just gave up after dying on the parachute line” which seems to be the case for a lot of people, as well as Open Wheelers in general. A high amount of attrition today. He wondered what happened to Glasspot who finished 2 minutes later in 17th despite helping him with the Car Pushing. Phil said “What do we do with the prediction? The quitters cost 5 people a lot of points if we pay out for 14th.” Glass chatted “Obliterated by a Tank”, it seems like Broughy did summon a Tank in the wrong place. The DNFers aren’t even sure to finish ahead of him if they’re ahead of him. Askorbini donated “Messaging all drinking gamers! Wellness check! Remember water is the fix to prevent hangovers! …that being said, I personally am extremely pleased with this one” The Drinking Game folks got a lot on this one indeed. Look after yourselves, guys. He promoted Drinking Game if anyone interested next time. And remember, this is a Swimming Finish. Dinmite is annoyed “Didn't help that nothing else fucking spawned, this damn game.” And Broughy told him to keep that list for Random Select in the future. Askorbiini said “I cannot take the credit for inventing the game, as it birthed from a joke from others, but I will take the credit for popularizing it” There’s a couple of guys at Broughy Island who didn’t finish. Meanwhile, Exzesco and Jujo are at 15th and 16th. Bloody is at 19th. It was a rough one indeed. Dinmite said “I can share so you can tell everyone what was meant to be in traffic” It would be a really good Random Select race.
