I used to do jump in stand four on mkx against a poke/teleport on wake-up heavy training partner. I learned if I cross up on knockdown it would eat the poke or teleport and they would learn to respect the jump in. so naturally I used it to extend the window I could confirm off of the jump in and stand 4 had the best scaling as a combo starter. Also learned that if you don’t get a hit you can clone off it because it pushes you back enough to get away from certain pokes. I never applied it to my mk1 gameplan as tech cause I just used it as an alternate button compared to f1 and because the wake-up game is different imo. Never even thought to use it for its pushback properties in mk1. Now that f1 clone is nerfed, stand 3 clone seems to be the optimal thing to do. Gonna add this to the portfolio 😂 thanks again and great video per usual!

I'm not sure how often I'd use 4~Klone or 3~Klone on block - just from preliminary testing, it seems that lots of characters break the Klone after using it. However, using 2~Klone or 21~Klone and most notably B3~Klone is definitely recommended. But do the testing on your own - test 3~Klone on Block and see which characters can break it and how they break it. Nonetheless, thank you for watching and constantly supporting this channel - it does not go unnoticed!

About the Rain part of the video: Rain,s armour has another version that if he holds forward the Gyser goes further like halfscreen almost. So you have to do triple klone every time if you know he's gonna wake up cus a raw klone is not gonna work

Fun fact off stand 4,4 goro can get a combo with Raise the roof. So you could lin kuei train then 1 stand 4,4 goro neutral call for a combo.

Sub-Zero is quite a decent character indeed. Yet because of people severely downplaying the effect that he has on characters in the game, there's legions of people that seem to believe that he's MK9 Jade when he really isn't. And yes, a lot of that effect stems from people not knowing how to fight the character properly, whether it's not punishing Klone consistently or being all too willing to jump into one. But that doesn't make Sub-Zero a bad character, especially when he has so many situational tools that Sub players are seemingly unaware of or don't make use of.

@@RealMKTomBrady Not all gimmicks. He has things that are legit. For example, if Sub hits the opponent with a F21 or 21 into Klone and then does a Slide, the opponent will get frozen trying to punish it. Certainly, the opponent can armor out, but if this is done after a break or with a Sareena Kameo draining meter, the opponent will give you a combo. Also, if Sub does 21~Klone on block in the corner against either Kitana or Sindel, they cannot move without getting frozen. If they press any button besides block, they freeze. Obviously, at the highest level, these niche things aren't enough to carry you to victory alone - but all of us Sub players having access to the same information regarding what Sub CAN do now will be helpful for everyone. Telling people that he's trash has no benefit to anyone playing him.

Oh yes, every character can armor through the Klone after B3 or even after Slide. But we can break their armor, or better yet, bait them to use it and block it.

It's also +31 on hit, which is quite useful now that we have an Ice Klone that lasts for 100 frames.

That is us!!! Yes, exactly as you said, if someone decides to attack us after this, virtually anything they do will get them frozen. Some characters like Kitana and Sindel literally can't even duck or jump let alone jab afterwards, well at least after 21~Klone on Block. His corner game is much improved.

This is why this game is struggling with sales. Too much math not enough fun. Counting frames all the time made the game repetitive. All players are doing the same inputs over and over because of safe frames. No matter what character, they all use it the same way. The fun factor is gone.

No, the game is struggling with sales because it had a bad launch and was released exclusively on 9th Gen consoles, PC and Switch, rather than the PS4 and Xbox One. Also, frame data has been a part of EVERY NRS title starting all the way from MK9. Not to mention every other FG made by any other company. This game is much more fun than its predecessor, MK11 even if it lacks the polish. Perhaps you shouldn't project your personal quibbles onto everyone else and the game itself.

Every fighting game does this and has been doing this for decades. The only difference is that people used to get the data themselves by recording their gameplay, then slowing it down frame by frame to get the numbers. Now, the devs simply make the data more easily available. But best believe there were tons of forums and websites that had all the information there. Its far from the reason why the game isnt doing too well.

Tbh I love looking at other characters frame data because I know what I can contest during a match. This is more calculated than MKX even though I enjoyed x too this is still fun .

@@mrAPchem yes frame data has been around, I know that, but it has become the standard. It’s like needed to be good at the game. It had a negative effect on the actual gameplay. How many players will try to do the optimal combo every time because they saw it on KZbin. No more originality. Think about it, aren’t you always countering the same inputs with the same inputs regardless of the character? Oh how longer do you want games to come out on ps4 and Xbox one?!
