I play against CPU a lot at work cause of no internet. It definitely gets you better. Great way to learn how to bait people and practice micro ducks and all that, as well as kombos. I wish you could set the AI to zone more though. They forever be rushing down you can’t practice your full screen game. Also, I found CPU forever ducks and punishes Ashrah’s f2…. So I got into the habit of not using it online… which is wild cause it’s a great button. Not a problem but you do gotto be aware to not let the CPU condition you into bad habits.

Mk1 is the most fun game I ever played, I play everyday when I can, and always use both conan and ghostface, im glad someone agrees that this game is one of the best and its only getting better, I mean the T1000 is still coming out later which is gonna boost the game because of his popularity and possibly one more kombat pack with another great guest character.

They only making negative videos because they realize it's what's getting their channel views up. I decided never to click on negative Mk1 videos anymore. This game is freaking incredible. Thank God Ed Boon had to shut since of the naysayers down by posting the most played and bought games and MK1 is the only fighting game in the top 15. Hope this means KP3 is still on our at least a kameo pack.

Something I noticed is a lot of people that hate mk1 still play mk1. Including me 🤣 A lot are just doing it to get on the hate brigade. Cause they’re bigoted. But I think others like me just have this love/hate relationship with the mortal kombat series because of the last few games NRS and WB has given us. With mk11 being a pretty terrible game start to finish and then mk1 having a terrible launch and its rumors of Khaos Reigns being its last update people have disdain for the series. Some seem to want mk1 to die because then maybe WB will listen to fans more when it comes updating the game. They want people to boycott WB so we get higher quality games. It feels like with every update mk1 is 1 step forward the half a step back. Even when it’s just a balancing patch someone gets a big buff like new moves added and then they go and completely ruin a move. It’s just this pattern they’ve been stuck in for the last few years that I think the community is tired of. It feels like every update I’m like “this is so awesome I can’t wait to play” and then I find out something about it that kinda almost ruin it for me. Like with the Floyd update, I was so excited and then I find out about all the grinding it takes to just get to him. This game is already incredibly grindy with the 10 seasons of Invasions so it was a complete turn off after that.

Why go on mk content creator channels just to say "play a real fighting game like tekken or street fighter" or "this game is still alive?" It’s a combination of past their prime players that can’t accept the L’s with age and a bunch of story mode fans with too high expectations. The original mk 1 had no stories - it was just a fighting game and if you did the tourney you got a quick blurb at the end about whatever character you took thru the tower. This game and X are both great fighting games

I think both sides can offer someone more insight on how things are really going in a video game. But I tend to agree with you the most. I love mk so ima play the game and enjoy my time with it. Granted it's my first fighting game ever so I like to listen to people who have been involved with fgc longer than me whether that be videos like your or competitively. The people that tom and Mike have issues with are really the Trueunderdawggamings of the world. By that same token I do as well. Great video as always. The followers of this channel, were enjoying the game, mostly by playing the worst character at the beginning of mk1 by pure love for the franchise. Why? Because we never asked for more content but we searched for the essence... the gameplay, the fundamentals, the mechanics. In a month, someone will find something new to argue and we'll find something new to enjoy the game.... something that was always there but somehow a dude lab it and find it. The End.

Great vid. I saw this vid and tried to lab and saw that you could do this consistently. This is one of the most broken attacks in my opinion. You can can hit over 50% with one bar mid screen and they still saying sub-zero aint buffed yet. Sure they could have given sub a faster ice ball and made it easier but they gave him more interesting tools that are harder to execute but definitely more fun. I see sub getting picked more and more now so with a faster ice ball perhaps people will start crying that he is too good now and needs to be nerfed.

Good analysis. Keep up the great content. You can like another game more than mk1 but that does not mean you have to hate mk1. Mk1 certainly looks more balanced and they did solve a lot of the problems that previous games had but that doesn’t mean its perfect. For me the most enjoyable mk game is mkx. Is just the most fun to play. Thats how a lot of people feel. Thats great. Mk1 gives you another feel. Its slower paced more balanced and better suited for competitive play. So you can play both games and enjoy them both without being dramatic all the time.

You wamt to know my favorite thing about MK1? If I played SF, I'd be at a massive disadvantage. If I played Tekken I'd be at a massive disadvantage. I am not at a large disadvantage with MK1, because NRS did their absolute best at making sure completely blind players like me can fully enjoy their game. They made a hole system that allows us to play at the level of everyone else. Even if MK1 does truly "die," I will always love the game for that reason.

Personally I’ve played all mk games (except special forces), all tekken games except tekken 4 and almost all street fighter games. Among all them Mortal Kombat is the only franchise that gave me concrete and actual lore about all characters and bothered to create a compelling story. Tekken lost itself after chapter 6 and went back on track in the last game. Street fighter 6 didn’t even bother. I main Jamie and the only thing I know about him is that he wants to protect his city, I guess. A good lore makes you want to come back for the next game and to me mortal Kombat did it perfectly. And the variation system before and the kameo system now gives it more variety and will to experiment new gameplans

Thank you for always keeping it real man 👊 of course it’s not a perfect game, was definitely not a perfect launch! But this game is outstanding, and undeserving of all the hate. I just haven’t understood why so many people trying to spread their hate to other people (unless… it’s a conspiracy! lol) I play it every chance I get and still learning every day. I’m glad it’s looking now more than ever like it’s gonna keep getting updates, and maybe some more content down the road 😏 something really tells me they aren’t done, at all…
