Interesting to see it stripped down, looks to be reasonably well made. The trigger mechanism looks to be sturdy enough. Pin spanners are a pain to get hold of but not insurmountable for someone with your skill set. 👍👍. Have a good Christmas mate.

Could have done with this yesterday! I stripped mine down last night to have a good poke around. The stabiliser reset pin was missing from mine meaning it has not been functioning at all.

that's interesting, this one it wasn't tapped deep enough so it has never engaged with the stab 🤔

@@sub12airgunnersI remember seeing a comment from airarms basically saying it takes so long to build an xti 50 due to the endless testing and setup when in the factory. I don't quite think that's true now. However the rest of my internals are in brilliant condition and it looks to be a fairly robust design when it comes to wear and temperature changes. Accuracy wise it is brilliant so I can't fault it in that way. Just a bit of shoddy qc which isn't acceptable on a 3k + target rifle.

Btw although its a very well made expensive rifle, we can clearly notice discoloration of the bluing on certain parts that have some friction. They should have finely polished these parts to avoid that. Was thinking of doing that myself the same way I polish to a mirror finish most of my other rifles internals. Any advice? Tx again for these great, simple, precise videos which are by far the best on internet !! Respect!

I agree with most posts far to many o rings and seals , no idea why the air gauge is fitted to a removable boss with what 4 o rings , I wounded how many there are in something like a LG 110 ?
@tillysgunstocks3 күн бұрын
It's on the boss so the gauge is always upright and it also allows you to swap the side of the action it's on if you wanted to make a mix and match handed action and stock. Rh action in a lefty stock etc. 😉

It's a very well made rifle, I never really looked at them before. I just thought they were an s400 in a fancy stock, I think this is a far superior rifle, and I like all the special tools you need for the rifle. Did you make the special tools or get them from AirArms? Great job 👍

@@sub12airgunners yes, same as the R reg found in the S510 ‘R’ and Ultimate Sporter. Very poor design, sealing face designed to fail, Belleville stack too short and stout meaning it’s hard to adjust and goes out of adjustment easily. Flimsy body that’s prone to distortion.
