My father had a 1400 4WD station wagon in 1978. It was a pale yellow colour, brown plastic bench seats and skinny wheels. We lived in SE Asia at the time and everyone drove Subaru or Toyota as many roads were jungle tracks or along the beach. Some 40+ years later, I am on my third Outback, we have a WRX STi and had a BRZ before that. Subaru through and through.
