I can be very wrong but all 22b's only came out in blue and RHD. Front and rear badge is pink from factory. To be honest, any Impreza mk1 is fantastic but the 22b is special

The first clip - 0:17 You can clearly see the Type R badge/Sticker on the bottom of the right hand side light cluster under the reversing light. Plus it’s left hand drive... Yes there have been RHD to LHD conversions but this is VERY rare. The second clip - 1:00 Its impossible to tell, so have to assume it’s another Type R. It could be a P1 (UK spec car) but I’d say no, this is based on the side of the road it’s driving on. The third clip - 1:10 Who would de-badge and paint a 22b white? It’s another Type R. Plus it’s LHD again. I could do this for every clip lol..

It is easy to ‘fake’ Impreza models, but it’s the fine details that give them away, sometimes you even have to look at engine and chassis numbers to find out what it is... An example would be... The non turbo sport model - with a rear axle conversion, turbo interior, turbo bonnet, bigger exhaust, lowering springs etc etc and they can fool people. Until someone tries to race one lol,,

Anyone ever notice how when they hear the pre 2006 impreza STi's they all say "Man that flat 4 boxer engine sound is SOO unique" "You always know it's an impreza because that boxer engine sound is unmistakable" lol When they don't have a f8cking CLUE what they're talking about. There's quite a few cars with a "Boxer" or Flat 4 or flat 6 configuration and they don't sound anything like the pre 2006 imprezas. What they're ACTUALLY hearing when they talk about that unmistakable sound is the noise coming from the Imprezas deliberately reverse installed Exhaust Headers. THATS ALL. I've even heard professionals and people who know alot about cars "And here's McRae in the impreza with that boxer engine in it". Again the sound is just the reveresed exhaust headers. If you modify a evo so you can put reverse headers on it it'll sound pretty much the same as the impreza. I've seen a dude who has a 1,4L 1999 Civic with reverse Exhaust headers and it sounds pretty much identical to the impreza at idle... IT'S NOT THE "BOXER" sound. "that boxer sound" lol. There's nothing different about a boxer engine than a standard V engine, apart from the pistons move sideways, instead of them moving them up 45 degrees...

I must not 😅 because I saw what, 2 wide body cars in the whole clip. So we can rule the rest out. You are right they are all a gc chassis, the 22b is just a build spec of that chassis. But there is not one single badged 22b in this video. And anyone that ever removes one of those badges is a complete idiot. Not to mention all the other differences I clearly can not see 😅. Not the 22b. people (like ALL of them) think this sound they love is the "Boxer sound". Which is bollox. A boxer is nothing differerent to any of other engine, it's jusyt pistons firing and counterweighting eachother., WHat gives THESE cars that unmisTAKEABLE sound, is the fact that the exhaust headers are reversed. Thats all. want proof? listen to ANY new impreza that comes off the line, do they have that SAVAGE sound we all love?
