Love your videos. You have a new sub. I've done my own work on my cars since my dad taught me as a kid and pulled my fair share of engines out of my cars back when I was younger. Watching you rebuild this engine and drop (lift) it back in has me longing for doing a rebuild. Looking forward to the rest of your content!

It's surprising how the engine/trans can so easily be installed as a unit. Good stuff!

True, I’ve done a few and can get it swapped pretty quick.

Kind'a like Sambar now but spare parts availability & does this need experts on Subaru. Or, general can?
@turnbullgarage88 Жыл бұрын
Super basic mechanics, any mechanic can work on these but for some reason many won’t. Parts are available but it they are expensive and it takes time to get them.

Where would you find a labor time on just the clutch or rear main seal ? It’s not in prodemand. Thanks in advance?
@turnbullgarage888 ай бұрын
No idea. I would say 5-6 hours would do it.

I’m trying to remove the axel on my 93 KS4. But need some help. Do you have anywhere I can DM you to get a better idea on how to take it off so I can get to the oil pan?
@turnbullgarage886 ай бұрын
I’m not sure you need to remove the axle to remove the oil pan. Been awhile though. Does it have the pins or internal circlips holding the axle? You will have to remove the upper shock bolt to get the lower control arm to go low enough to slide axle out. Support lower control arm with jack when you remove that bolt.

@@turnbullgarage88 I’m not really sure how to tell if it has pins or the internal circlips. I took a picture of it, but can’t send it here

Do you know where I can buy a engine for the Sambar ?
@turnbullgarage88 Жыл бұрын
You could try G&R Imports, not cheap though. Best is to just search online. It can be a challenge for sure. Good luck.

You can buy a samber truck from Japan on the price of engine. We are exporting world wide 😊
