That sounds sweet. I have a 1992 sambar but can't find any info on where the numerous vacum lines connect to,

Thanks for sharing this great Sambar project. I have a Hijet project of my own. I'll be "painting" it inside and out with Monstaliner polyurethane bed liner in a color that's very close to the gray that you chose, so I liked seeing your Sambar as a preview of how my Hijet should look.

Sir, where did you get your front bumper for the Sambar? It’s amazing!
@turnbullgarage88 Жыл бұрын
I got in on Ebay, $169 if I remember right. It fits a Jeep YJ.

Nice looks great! Question tho... Are these Sambars considered actually part time AWD or part time 4x4? Thanks!
@turnbullgarage882 ай бұрын
They are rear wheel drive and with the push of a button are 4WD. You would not drive in 4WD on a non slippery surface, it is not AWD.

Awesome looking Sambar. What are the rims and model number you have there? Also, did you need wheel spacers? Thanks man. Love the videos.
@turnbullgarage883 ай бұрын
@@jacobcarrillo9171 They are ITP wheels, 4x110 with 2” back spacing. I hade to use 1” adapters to go to 4x100. Thanks for watching.

Do you have an install video of the bumper? If so that would be awesome! I really want a front bumper setup like yours, but I’m not sure where to start

I don’t but I’ve got a lot of requests to do something like that so I guess I will put something together in the next week or so.

Excellent video! What is the paint color code? Also what are the wheel specs? Brand of rim and tire size please? It looks phenomenal!
@turnbullgarage88 Жыл бұрын
I don’t have a paint code, I just went to the paint shop and picked a colour from their book. It is a single stage paint. ITP wheels, 12” x 7” wheels. 1” wheel spacers/adapters as well. Tires are Mongrel 23x8x12”. Thanks.
@davidbooth749 Жыл бұрын
Did you paint it yourself or did you have a shop do it?

Very cool, my favorite Kei truck so far. Just pulled my 92 Sambar into the shop, ill use your other videos as a guide to help me rebuild the motor. A few questions though, Do you know if i can ad a locker without having to swap out the entire transmission? And are those the factory 12 inch wheels? Any apacers to run those mongrel tires?
@turnbullgarage88 Жыл бұрын
Thanks! I can’t answer the locker question, I don’t know sorry. Not factory wheels, they are ITP wheels. I do have 1” spacer/adapters. Bolt pattern on wheels are 110, Sambar is 100. Good luck with rebuild!

what lift did you use? did you have to cut and extend the steering wheel?
@turnbullgarage884 ай бұрын
@@SargonRose I made some 2” blocks myself and also bought a 2” lift kit for a full size truck at a garage sale cheap and used some of the blocks. Yes, had to cut and extend the steering shaft 2” as well.

Got to say man, love the build, the video, and the content overall. Know its kind of niche but these Kei trucks are popping up everywhere and I'm sure yours will be an inspiration for a number of them. What's the top speed for yours with those tires? I know the trucks aren't that fast to begin with.
@turnbullgarage88 Жыл бұрын
Thanks, appreciate the comments. Yes, these used to be so rare to see but there are more common every day. Not many places will work on them so I do hope these videos will help. My top speed with no headwind and a level road is about 90 kmh, the bigger tires definately slow it down!
