Subaru Solterra offroad

I love my Solterra but I plan to keep driving mine entirely ON roads. I expect to benefit from its four wheel drive capability on our snowy Canadian winter roads.

Impressive! Love the ground clearance and how it allowed each of those tests to happen fairly easily! Wondering though, if the tires were purposely under-inflated on some of those? The seem fairly flat.

Only if the Solterra had more range and faster rapid charging, I would’ve considered it! Everything else is great !!!! Subaru is known to have the best off road capabilities second to none. I’m sorry, I originally had the Solterra on reservation and I canceled due to the embarrassing recall. 🎉

I recently bought one the charging for me is fine. I upgraded to a new charger, but yes, the range doesn’t even crack 300 which is a bit of a bummer but more than enough for what I need.

I opted for the 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5. It’s rated at 266 mile range and EV fast charge in less than 20 minutes. I do travel back and forth from Baltimore to New York often. That’s why I needed a vehicle with longer range and faster charge time. Otherwise if it wasn’t for that, I would’ve stuck with the Solterra. I’ve owned 5 Subaru’s from 2000 to 2020. Solterra would’ve been my 6th Subaru. I’m still a Subaru fan. If Subaru comes out with longer range snd faster charging, I may consider it in the future.

Subaru should include a generator just in case you are out of juice while off-roading.
