Matt, I am sure I am the only one that is actually looking forward to this review. I love my fun Japanese cars, but love my large American Lincoln Continental. Lincoln since the about 2016 really started making huge improvements. I love my 2017 Continental, it has been great. I test drove this new Nautilus when I went to the dealership and had my Continental get it's yearly PA state inspection and oil change in July. These are very impressive, I rather see sedans like my Continental on the road but, this is good looking for a SUV and rides really well. The interior so well laid out and well put together. The large 48 inch dash display you can turn off a large portion of it so doesn't bother me at all when driving. I think these will sell well. Matt, I agree I am happy Lincoln focused on luxury and comfort, not everything should be a sports car, that is again why I love my Continental. Hats off to Lincoln, I just wish they would bring back a large sleek comfy sedan like my Continental. Maybe one day. I will be keeping my Continental forever, still the best riding car I have ever owned and so well done inside and out, sleek, great design.

I have Blue Cruise 1.3 on my Mustang Mach-E and its actually a pretty big improvement. Auto lane change works really well and it actually does stay in the hands free mode more often than it used to. But the biggest thing is the system moving the car away from big trucks. That was the biggest reason I would have my hand on the wheel during hands-free driving. Slowing down for corners is nice but I think it accelerates out of the corner a little too aggresively but I'm always in Unbridled mode so its likely better in other modes.

Just a note on your comment about Hybrid's and CVTs. While there are many manufacturers who use traditional CVTs, Toyota uses "eCVT" transmission in most of their Hybrids (with the exception of some of their newer hybrid offerings on some of their trucks), which is a terrible name since it's not like a traditional CVT at all. It basically acts like a reverse differential and has very few moving parts even in comparison to a manual transmission. I say all of this to say that not all CVTs are created equal, since the mere mention of CVTs in general can make people think lesser of a vehicle.
@MattMaranMotoring3 ай бұрын
Totally agree and yeah fair point, a lot of people think of the miserable CVTs of the past and don't realize this is a totally different thing.

I say forgo the Mercedes for your next car(I know Beth said she really would like to get back into one before) and look at this! If she’s okay with the transmission tuning of course lol. I wouldn't be opposed to that, but these are way out of our price range and Beth and I want to stay with an EV anyway, it's a much easier ownership experience for how little driving we do with her car.

Can't say anything about the screen but the the transmission isn't a CVT, it is a eCVT which isn't belt driven and doesn't come with the reliability problems of a CVT.
