Good review Tom. Short, succinct and it gives enough information to get a feel for the game.

Nice review! Going to add it to the list of 'maybe' games. Also, very jealous of that copy of Colosseum you have on the shelf there; I wish Days of Wonder would reprint it!

Just got this game and I feel that this review is being EXTREMELY generous. Some things that I found disappointing not mentioned in the review: Packaging - there's no included insert to separate the hundreds of tokens into like types for storage, meaning you have to either supply your own baggies or sort them before every game. Player Interaction - Nothing any one player does with their board has any effect on any other player's game. In effect, playing the game with others is a simultaneous single-player experience, like everyone playing their own game of Bejeweled and then comparing scores at the end. Price - 70$ for an experience this shallow is exorbitant. I unfortunately am left feeling like the devs used the massive success of Suburbia to push an inferior product at an inflated price. If you're a fan of Suburbia and are looking for more technical, strategic, economic tile laying gameplay, sadly this isn't it!

Is this the same artist as Suburbia at least?
@darthfishead9 жыл бұрын
It is. The artist just posted a Geeklist over on BGG of games he's worked on this year.

Contrary to what Tom said, there are not multiple paths to victory sine roads are 3/4 of your points.
@blnichol79 жыл бұрын
The does not mean there isn't multiple routes to victory. It just means you need to make sure to max your points on roads. There are multiple other ways to score more points, aka different paths.
@wolflarson719 жыл бұрын
Listen to what Tom said. He said each strategy seems to be very well balanced suggesting you can win a game by neglecting roads (that was his example) by focusing on other things. This is not the case- you NEED to max road points.

I can't help but cringe every time they pour the components on the table in these reviews.
