How come when I go to "all pages" or "content drilldown" I don't see the subdomained full URL. I only see in "real time".

Changes in GA are not retroactive. You will see the full URL in "Site content" only for data collected after the change.

Thanks for sharing this! It would be interesting to see what filters do you use for tracking the subdomains as well, not just the combined view.

This is very easy to do :) You can do it quickly by creating a segment in the Full URL view. This is quick (and retroactive) but it won't let you make complex segments without editing the segment itself. The other way is to create separate views for the subdomains (like I have and you can see in the video). It is basically a copy of the Full URL view with added one filter to remove all the pageviews that don't contain the subdomain. I can make another video to show this... tnx for asking :)

If you don't get any pageviews on the filtered view, you probably used the wrong settings in the filter.

That depends. Do you have access to GA of the main domain? If so, I'd use the setup described in the video. If not, then go with a different GA property.

Easy. You need to do what I explain in this video and later you can create two separate views, one reporting for the main domain and one reporting for the subdomain. However, I would still suggest having a third view where you have all data together, so you can make a more meaningful analysis.

@@aboptimization Actually I was using Google Analytics for my main domain from last 2-3 years. A couple of days back I created a sub-domain. Now looking to track that. Currently I am able to track just by adding the Javascript code of my main property in the sub-domain. But thr issue currently is visitors of both sites is being shown in thr All Websites data. I tried the steps explained in the video. Created a video and then added the filter by the way it was explained. I have also added my main domain in referal exclusion list. Now the full URL of sub-domain is shown in the newly created view. It is completely fine but the issue is the no of visitors and real time is exactly same in both all website data and newly added view. I want the total no. of visitors of my main domain in the all website data and visitors of only sub-domain in the view created for it. But that's not happening right now. Plz guide me through so I can track both my main domain and sub-domain separately. Thanks.

You can't at the moment. GA4 does not have full functionalities yet. You should use the old GA for the time being. You can have them both.

In order to set up a view specifically to analyze the traffic and performance of the subdomain separately from the other domain/sub-domains should I just add a filter with the subdomain on the include only/traffic to the hostname and insert the sub-domain? or is there another better way?

Yes, it can be done with a filter in the view... but you can also filter the subdomain traffic in the main view, using segments. Personally I prefer to work on the main view with segments.

Yes, in that case make a view so you can limit the access to the subdomain.

I followed the steps accurately but there is no data reflecting in the view that I made. I have multiple subdomains and I'm a bit confused as to how do I set up views in which the data for each subdomain reflects separately under one property. Could you please guide me?

If you follow everything correctly, your "Full URL" view will contain URLs for all the subdo mains. You can verify this under Behaviour > Site Content > All pages. If you do not see full URLs containing the subdomain names, then your view is implemented wrongly. Go back to the video and fix it. Dividing the reports by subdomain is just matter of copying this view and add a filter to show only the subdomain you are interested in. I hope this helps.

No additional action is necessary: ) Events and conversions are tracked as usual for both the main domain and the subdomain ...provided of course you are firing the events correctly on the subdomain as well.

Hey Gethin... yes, place the GA ID on your page as you would normally do (with GA snippet or through GTM) and then go make the view with filter in GA.
