I lost my father in 2014 and my brother in 2021. We all shared our wonderful taste in music with eachother, and sublime was a very big part of that. When my father passed, my brother got a tattoo of a sublime sun on his shoulder in his name, and now that he's gone I'm gonna do the same. Whenever I hear sublime, I think about all the good times I had with them. Thank you sublime for being there to remind me of good times with those I've lost, and rest in peace to Bradley nowell.

I'm so sorry for your lost... Wanted also a tattoo of the "sublime sun" & than i found out, that it isn't a sun, but an egg in uterus & the sun refulgences are sperm! So i didn't make the tattoo...😅

History lesson for the kiddies. That blocky thing that you see get put into the car’s radio? It is not a made up thing. It might look like a VCR tape but it isn’t that. It’s what they once called, 8-track cassette, and they play music just like the better known smaller cassette tapes. Albums were edited across eight sections along the length of tape, and played constantly across on a continuous loop. The player would have then either eight seperate buttons for the corresponding eight tracks, or else they’d have one button that would skip from the track you were hearing to the next track on the tape. My uncle even had blank cassettes and this deluxe 8-track cassette machine that he could use to record onto the blank cassettes with.

Easily the best stand alone song of one of the greatest albums ever made even tho this one song doesn’t even begin to represent the whole of the experience that is Robbin the Hood which is a masterpiece.

This about thr b-boy dance! Because he mentions that and says “Rising up in a hip-hop dance.” I grew up aka “breakdancing” what I’m saying is as a b-boy, this song is about us. ❤ (I think) just awesome 🎧 song regardless no matter what
