My favorite Sublime song(s) have been the same since I was a little kid in '92.... 'Roots of Creation' and 'Perfect World' have been my favorites since first hearing them on a shitty duped tape that sounded like it was last in a long line dubbed off the original.... Those 2 songs have remained my favorites for over 30 years..... Jesus, 30 years..... now I'm depressed.

One of the most underrated drummers. His style is unique and his timing is just perfect

sublime is such a good rhythm section. like obviously the vocals are great and bradley was quite a songwriter, but i was always mesmerized by the pocket of this band

Yep, you nailed it. He raises those arms high and snaps it almost seemingly like a whip.

I’d love to see you do one of these on Max Savage from Parquet Courts. He has a really recognisable style especially on punk songs. He really gives the band a unique sound. Great work!

Im a recovering heroin addict over a decade sober. But at 18 years old i was living on my own cause my father died the year before and i wasnt doing too well staying clean. So i got into some trouble supportimg my addiction and went to county jail then prison a year later at 19 cause my probation was revoked due to the fact i couldnt stay clean. But before i went to prison i was in county jail and dopesick kicking heroin and a disgustingly excessive benzodiazepine habit. So all i had with me to get through each day was the music in my head. I met a guy who did tattoos and i let him pick out the outline of a sublime tattoo across my shoulder blades/back since we were both big Sublime fans. At the time it was just something i did to focus my mind on something other than drugs/withdrawl and my upcoming prison sentence. Once i got into the halfway house after my year and a half sentence i met my best friend (who still is to this day. He was also a recovering heroin addict who like me now owns his home, has a family and is doing well) and he was a tattoo artist so i had him redo/finish my back Sublime tattoo. It likely seems silly to get a band tattooed across your back to most people but it means more than that to me. Its a reminder that when life gets rough, and it will, music is something that will always be there to carry you through. These days i build guitar pedals and amps and do repairs in my spare time, mow my yard/take care of my house, play guitar and drums (always played guitar but after i got out of prison and got clean i really started to take it much more seriously), ride my mtb on the local trails etc. That is too say life is much different than it used to be. Sublime was the soundtrack for a lot of my drug years but there is too much good in their music to focus on the bad associations it has for me. Anyways, more on topic Sublime wouldn't have been the Sublime we know and love without Buds style. Many of his grooves alone are iconic. Another great video!

You absolutely nailed this dude! My band has a new drummer who comes from a rock background - I sent this to him as we start working on some of our reggae tunes. SuBScrIbEd
