Submarine Gato - Shotgun

Gato - American special premium Tier X submarine. The U.S. Navy High Command conceived that "fleet submarines" were to complement the sluggish conventional battleships. With a high surface speed, heavy armament, and long operational range, they were supposed to conduct reconnaissance and finish off enemy ships once artillery duels between battleships ceased. However, after the attack on Pearl Harbor, their strategy changed, and a new type-Gato-was geared for extended patrols. Comfortable for their crews, these submarines carried a large fuel supply and torpedoes. USS Gato was laid down in October 1940 and commissioned in December 1941. The submarine conducted thirteen combat missions, earning the same number of battle stars and the Presidential Unit Citation.

The game isn't ruined, it just forces you to play differently. If a team will pay attention and each ship type perform their roles, then this can be countered. As an example: what is a cruisers counter to a BB? Each element has it's own way of being handled. The only thing that has no "in-game" counter is: you can't control what your team mates do other than use communication. @@mobilisinmobili4836

the torpedo activation time needs to be increased more !! that is terribly unbalanced, subs would never do this in RL as its to reckless they where like snipers shoot from distance, not this shotgun style...

Gato allways was op They nerfed shotgunning on all subs but gato. Bc reasons. Just lower its dmg per torp hit and it would be fixed But they dont do it like they never gonna rly nerf FDR

If they nerfed torpedo damage for unguided torpedoes that would just make them unguided versions of the normal sub torpedoes. The guided torpedoes already have nerfed damage because, well, they are guided. They can’t make the normal ones have low damage as well. They have to make some other way to nerf subs
