White one stripe here, hit this scissor on a purple he was just going to defend the kimura, and wasn’t scared of my armlock. Let it be known, as soon as we reset, I think he choked me a thousand times in the last 5 minutes of our roll, good times excellent series, you earned a sub from this guy.

Hahaha!!! Way to go! I’m so proud! 😈
@StanleyPinchak4 жыл бұрын
I had a purple belt teach this and a few other attacks off the kimura trap. Went to a new gym and attempted the head scissors on a black belt who let me grab the kimura grip. He tucked his chin as I went for the choke and I let off when I realized there was no choke so as not to be a dick, but he made me pay for the privilege of almost getting the sub. Who says bjj guys leave the ego off the mat?

This is my go to sequence. I lost count of the number of times I have submitted people from this. I love the scissor lock option if you can’t get them to release their hands. I actually had one tap just from the pressure of me squeezing my knees into his back/chest. Once again, thank you!

I love this movement series. You’ve demonstrated how many small things there are to master, turning it into an almost unstoppable progression. But also how effective it can be from a novice’s level of application. Thanks for this video.

I love using the scissor if someone is in my guard to cause them to pause and potentially make a mistake. This is a great way to use it for a choke!
@shanehypno5395 жыл бұрын
I have caught this on opponents so many times, occasionally end up on there jaw and just like coach says, it really pisses your training partner off lol. It's good to go back and go over details. Cheers coach.

I was in this position recently, i found his head underneath me while i was in that kneeling position i simply threaded my leg through onto my resting leg and basically tri angled his head head by effectively sitting down using only my legs, it was very effective. Its like Billy Robinson used to say "i'm not teaching you how to wrestle i'm teaching you how to learn", in other words once you have spent the time and learned the basics you actually start to understanding what is possible.

Awesome stuff! I get to this position often! High success with kimura/armbar against smaller guys and guys my size but tough against bigger stronger guys. Can’t wait to try this!! Wonderful channel!

@TeachMeGrappling6 жыл бұрын
Well by changing the position of your arms or hips, it changes the control and allows for different submission entries and transitions. The “doorstop” is an easy way to stay out of the guard and attack for north south choke, kimuras, armbars, and darces.

В принципе, в зависимости от того, какая из ножек задыхается от вашего противника через шею, другая нога должна обернуться сверху, чтобы сделать замок. Это делает более плотное сжатие.
