I perfectly understand. I change my cushions and floral arrangements with the seasons. I sometimes change my rugs too. My summer house doesn’t look like my fall or winter house. It makes me very happy. Storage is an issue, but I make it happen. I’m 64 years old and live in New York and love watching your videos. I didn’t think I would subscribe at first, but after a few videos, I enjoy your work immensely. Life is shorter than people think. What I love about this video is that I kind of finally understood MYSELF that when I’m looking at your house in an aspirational way, i haven’t been looking at it right. It’s your hobby and something you LOVE making new again. I’m not there yet financially or I guess in priorities to do that. I don’t have the eye and interiors aren’t my hobby but I LOVE your beautiful spaces and seeing how you create them. My mom is an interior designer and our basement growing up was filled with home decor accessories. You are not alone in wanting to do this! I always loved it when I still lived in the US because I could “shop” the basement when I was moving house or needed a new bit 😇

That’s such a good idea to store your excess bits in the attic. It would be like a little store. And to have different pieces to swap out like vases, cushions etc. when your in the mood for a change. In your living room it’d be pretty with a splash of a pretty pale pink in flowers, vases, some of the cushions, and at Christmas some golds, reds or green. Just a idea, with the black walls any color would be a huge pop, anyway love this video. Oh make Ali a smoothie too.

One of the best things I did in my house was empty a junk filled linen closet and make it my decor station. I have a place for my seasonal decorations, vases and random bits that I love. Also, as my style changes I can see what no longer ‘sparks joy’ and declutter it easily. BTW - Lumi was killing me!! I was crying laughing listening to your convo with her!! What a great little kitty!!

When I’m boyfriend and I first started dating we went for lunch where I love their pecan pie. Got my pie and for about 4 min didn’t even know he existed and after it was finished he stated, “ well good thing I didn’t want any”. After years now he knows better... don’t even dare ask.

No no noooo lydia dont let him scratch those ones because when you get the new ones he wont understand that he cant scratch them and for good reason, the linen ones are expensive. So I would put a scratch pole with catnip spray on it right next to where he has made the scratch Mark's on the old covers, slowly move the scratch pole away 4ft or so from the chair keep spraying the scratcher to attract him to there away from chair then wait two weeks slowly moving the scratcher to either another place in the room or into kitchen and keep that sprayed for another few weeks until he wants to use that and not the chair, this has worked for me with my 3 kitty's so home can remain lovely and you enjoy fur cuddles :) x

I love styling a home and especially love decorating seasonally! So much fun to pop seasonal flowers in vases and I am such an earthy girl so woody vines dark autumn colors are my favorite! Spring pastels summer blues and good sparkle of gold and silver for Christmas! I really love all of pieces my issue as well is storage I like each season in color coded order it’s appealing as well as practical as year I then decide if I prefer traditional gold orange browns or if I want deep purple maroon and teal it’s a hobby but I do go all in! So fun

So I’m on my hubby’s account- This is the one I always use - and I am a woman, my name is Haroula. The beginning of the video you put a bottle wine in the fridge. Here is an old Bartenders tip- soak a tea towel in cold water, wring it out and then wrap it around your bottle and place the bottle with the tea towel in the freezer. In 15 to 30 minutes your bottle of wine should be ready to drink. Enjoy!

The mirror is actually really good. The whole room gives a metallic vibe. If you wanna change the mirror you need to change a lot, the sofas etc they are just not meant to look warm and cozy

If you really hate spiders, make up a spray with mint oil. I respray once a month and have not had a spider in a year.

That is such a great idea to store your decorating items like that because I always find you will come across an item and say that is beautiful but it's more Fall decor and it's summer. But if you have a place to store things why not! You are doing so great and I can see in every vlog you seem happier and more sure of yourself. I had to pause. I cannot believe you would not share your smoothie - Or better yet make him one. It takes 3 min to mix a smoothie. Ali repaints your rooms, he changes light fixtures over and over for you, he clears the fire escape so the least you could do is share your smoothie. Even the most beautiful person in the world - if they are selfish - their beauty will disappear - just like a person who is kind becomes beautiful.
