Fun Fact, the reason why the pod kept falling through the ground is due to draw distance. In the game the ground despawns to save up on rendering if you get too far away. Normally the pod would be unaffected, as it's floating, but since it isn't here it keeps falling because the ground underneath it vanishes when you get too far. Someone else did a similar challenge to this and used floaters to keep the pod from falling.

Makes sense why the devs had to make pods/bases/wrecks stationary no matter what. To do otherwise would result in everything sinking through the ground. Job 41:1-34 NIV Can you pull in Leviathan with a fishhook or tie down its tongue with a rope? 2 Can you put a cord through its nose or pierce its jaw with a hook? 3 Will it keep begging you for mercy? Will it speak to you with gentle words? 4 Will it make an agreement with you for you to take it as your slave for life? 5 Can you make a pet of it like a bird or put it on a leash for the young women in your house? 6 Will traders barter for it? Will they divide it up among the merchants? 7 Can you fill its hide with harpoons or its head with fishing spears? 8 If you lay a hand on it, you will remember the struggle and never do it again! 9 Any hope of subduing it is false; the mere sight of it is overpowering. 10 No one is fierce enough to rouse it. Who then is able to stand against me? 11 Who has a claim against me that I must pay? Everything under heaven belongs to me. 12 “I will not fail to speak of Leviathan’s limbs, its strength and its graceful form. 13 Who can strip off its outer coat? Who can penetrate its double coat of armor[b]? 14 Who dares open the doors of its mouth, ringed about with fearsome teeth? 15 Its back has[c] rows of shields tightly sealed together; 16 each is so close to the next that no air can pass between. 17 They are joined fast to one another; they cling together and cannot be parted. 18 Its snorting throws out flashes of light; its eyes are like the rays of dawn. 19 Flames stream from its mouth; sparks of fire shoot out. 20 Smoke pours from its nostrils as from a boiling pot over burning reeds. 21 Its breath sets coals ablaze, and flames dart from its mouth. 22 Strength resides in its neck; dismay goes before it. 23 The folds of its flesh are tightly joined; they are firm and immovable. 24 Its chest is hard as rock, hard as a lower millstone. 25 When it rises up, the mighty are terrified; they retreat before its thrashing. 26 The sword that reaches it has no effect, nor does the spear or the dart or the javelin. 27 Iron it treats like straw and bronze like rotten wood. 28 Arrows do not make it flee; slingstones are like chaff to it. 29 A club seems to it but a piece of straw; it laughs at the rattling of the lance. 30 Its undersides are jagged potsherds, leaving a trail in the mud like a threshing sledge. 31 It makes the depths churn like a boiling caldron and stirs up the sea like a pot of ointment. 32 It leaves a glistening wake behind it; one would think the deep had white hair. 33 Nothing on earth is its equal- a creature without fear. 34 It looks down on all that are haughty; it is king over all that are proud.”

I do math for a living and had the same thought, but it turns out it doesn't make much of a difference. In the screencapped post at the start of the video, it says the world's circumference is 29030400 meters. That makes the radius about 4620331.7. The deepest point in the crater is usually about 1700 meters below sea level. If you take the amount of volume lost to reduce a 4620331.7 meter radius sphere to a 4620331.6 meter one, then subtract that same amount of volume out of a 4618631.7 meter radius sphere (1700 meters less than when we started), the radius goes down by about 0.100074. In other words, the water would only be dropping about 0.074% faster at the end of the video than at the beginning. Furthermore, it takes 17000 seconds to drop the water level by 1700 meters at a rate of 0.1 meters per second (obviously). Instead, if you take the amount of volume lost when decreasing a 4620331.7 meter radius sphere by 0.1, then subtract that volume every second until the sphere's radius is 1700 meters lower than at the start, it would take about 16993.7 seconds. In other words, decreasing by volume instead of height would only make the drop happen about 6.3 seconds faster than the original time of 4 hours, 43 minutes, and 20 seconds. It would be about 0.037% faster overall.

I havent played Subnautica, so I litterally have no idea what he's doing. But I'm so invested in this run because of his enthusiasm.

On the reddit comment at 0:23 If you're not good at visualizing numbers it basically means the Subnautica planet diameter is pretty much right around, give or take, in the middle between Earth and Mars. Basically this: Earth = 12742 km 4546B = 9240 km Mars = 6779 km

19:31 This makes sense because the game deloads terrain when you're not nearby. It does NOT deload water, so if there's no water for the lifepod to float on, it'll just sink. This is something speedrunners use to their advantage too. Like Salvner leaving a vehicle bay somewhere in the lava zone and it floats back up to the surface later to be used to make the rocket.

12:07 When IGP jumped to the water I realized how much he wanted to get to the water and it surprised me cuz like..the human is a land animal he lives on land not water but this man I think spend so much time in the water the land terrifies him more than the water does…(I think he spend so much time in subnautica he got insane and now he sees himself as a sea creature XD)..and the fact that this game gave him thallasophobia….. Plus….pov:youre the warper that jumped into the water with IGP:GOTTA GO FAST!!!

I kind of like the idea of this, it's almost like an alien ocean planet where everything looks majestic and floating/swimming across the skies, but you don't and stuff idk just seems like a good idea for a video game or concept.

Yep, the Lava Zones are directly below the Safe Shallows. To the point that if a sea dragon roars at the ceiling of the ILZ, you can hear it from the lifepod.

Indie never stops surprising me and I hope you realize that you are amazing & never stop being you! I love the Horror, Cthulhu, and other stuff too. I used you to help get over the death of someone that I really cared about. My older brother got me watching you and I never stop enjoying your videos! I hope you have a Radical day! I hope your fan base has a great day!

The worst part about the gargantuan leviathan is that the version shown in this mod is at minimum one is 10x smaller then it actually would be

fun fact that I recently found out in the final facility you can manage to slide the seamoth through the forcefeild and drive it around like it's in the water, even after you go into the sea emporers tank it's still do it afterward
