@wvrjl I see what you're saying however, there's cost of the material and labor that went into making it. Also, the daughter looked like she was having fun at her prom. I'm so proud of dad for sticking up for his baby at the end regarding the unnecessary full-figured comment the seamstress made to cover up his shoddy work👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾. She had that same full-figured body size in the beginning when he accepted the job and her money, so the nerve of him to try to use that as an excuse now. FYI... She is a beautiful, voluptuous young woman. I also thought the judge should've awarded her some additional money for her discomfort during a monumental moment. She didn't have the magical, memorable, great experience that was supposed to come with prom night because she really couldn't relax and enjoy herself out of fear that the dress would rip more, causing her lifetime humiliation.

The defendant did not do a professional job from the start, an amateur might only sew a straight seem but a professional binds the seam, to prevent fraying, with a zigzag stitch all the way down the seam, he obviously did nothing of the sort AND his plain stitch was obviously far to close to the edge because it gave way. And whether or not she enjoyed herself, who wants to be wearing a dress that is ripping to pieces with every movement? They should have been refunded the whole amount and why should they have to have the defendant repair it, when he clearly doesn't know how to sew?...
