Totally agree with highly educated Subramanian Swamy. India can easily afford eliminate income tax as government owns PSUs and railways which can be easily turned into cash cows. Government wont loss much in tax kitty as eliminated income tax will not go out of economy but will find its way as huge consumer spending, huge savings and increased investment all of which results in multiplier effect on economy resultung in service sector boom and GDP growth of upto 2% in short term and upto 5% in long run resulting in bumper GST collection and loss of direct tax being compensated by bumper GST collection. Lower middle class will immediately emerge as middle class and middle class emerging as upper middle class, HNIs etc. During covid period FM by reducing 5% corporate tax had brough a revolutionary change in economy. Imaging what elimination of corporate tax would do to economy
