There was actually a trilogy that goes before dance of thieves and it helps with the world and the understanding for dance of thieves. love your queen❤

I felt the same way with Dance of Thieves! I couldn’t even finish the first book. Slow burn is key for me and the romance moved too quickly to keep my attention. Totally get where you are coming from.

we literally had the same opinion on when the moon hatched, quicksilver, however... i fear i had to dnf. Really wanted to like it :( but happy you did bestie xxx

Reading is really subjective. I hated "Quicksilver." I read "When the Moon Hatched" twice, once in February and again in May. I kind of understand what you mean about the audiobook. The second time I read it, I tried pairing it with the audiobook, but I had to drop it halfway through. I hated it; the audiobook seemed to reduce the quality of the book. I don’t know if that makes sense. On the other hand, "The Dance of Thieves" duology is quite possibly one of my all-time favorites.

I just finished Quicksilver yesterday… took me a month to read because I really didn’t like the first 35% but I’m very glad I pushed through because the rest was really good!!

Hi Ellen! I just wanted to ask something that’s a little personal. How do you balance everything in your life? You have your KZbin channel (which means all the reading you do), your job, choir, other hobbies and your boyfriend. I’m currently struggling to do everything. I work three jobs and one of them is coaching a high school sport so I have to go to games and competitions every Friday and Saturday. The boyfriend is a new edition, and I’m struggling to try to add him in to everything. If you have any advice I would really appreciate it!

I loved When the Moon Hatched and Dance of Thieves but your critiques make total sense. I really want to read Quicksilver although I'll definitely have to find the edition that has the other cover or wait for a new one to come out.😂

I really recommend A Ruin of Roses series by KF Breene. It’s very adult and spicy with a great action fantasy story. It’s one of my favourite series and it’s 4 books long. It’s one of the few series that actually made me laugh out loud and the enjoyment levels of this series is 10/10. Love this video 🥰

I don't know if you've ever read Crier's War but I feel like it would be suuuper up your alley - fantasy/scifi, slow burn, enemies to lovers, SAPPHIC - it is young adult but written incredibly well and also the slow burn is ACTUALLY a slow burn. It's also free on Kindle Unlimited ! (shoutout to my gf who read it first and recommended it to me :))
