Thank you for the video. However after listening to the overwhelming info,I could not finish the video. Personally I think it is inconceivable,and shameful for these government agencies to put the elderly through this over extended process,especially if u have a disability. I’m 76 in fair health. My husband is 85,and in very good health. No I could not do this,and I’m not wealthy by any means. The elderly should be treated with the utmost respect,and dignity. I’m sure other means of attending to elderly needs would be more profitable,and dignified. That’s our government

I’m on waitlists. Low income subsidized. A reminder for some of you...some require a letter from you twice a year to state you are still wanting to be on the wait list. Or they drop you. I just sent all mine. HINT if you go by and say hello from time to time you can sometimes be put to the top and get the next available apt. They get to know you, get a feel for you. This happened to two friends. Not saying it’s right, but it happens. I can’t do this since the city I want to return to isn’t the city I am stuck in, unfortunately.

It is a shame that people have to wait 8 or 10 years to get on a low income housing community! All that continuously gets built is high end luxury condos asking $2,000-$3,000 a month rents!! Condos after Condos! It’s ridiculous! They need to start building more and more low income housing NOT LUXURY CONDOS! Even rents for apartments are asking $1600-$2,000 a month for rents!! There needs to be a way to put a stop to this!!!! It’s insane!!! People are paying the Owners’ Mortgage Payments!!!

So let's just say that there is housing available for so many that there is.Then it seems that a good program design is a absolute.When are we ever going to have a lawfully show of the human touch for humanity should that not be like a major corporation,like Google or IBM ect.we are going to get old and I'd really like to believe that we are all proactive in looking out for are for our for father's and I'm not sure that it really is that great I only hope ,I'm 63 and have some issues but I still wish I had more stuff that I could do more to help out and such why is it not rolling like a Cadillac on alcohol and 22s there is so many doing great service for people everywhere thanks to you an your excellent video s that really make it work a lot better than it would ,heads up 10 stars 🎉😊

Does a disabled senior with significant disabilities get in before able bodied seniors? For example someone who is paralyzed from the waist down from spins bifida get in before a senior who is relatively healthy? I know on regular single family low income housing a disabled individual takes priority. Thx 😊

You have spoken and have given information I’ve never heard before about seniors. I live in NJ, I just turned 70 on Feb 26. I have applied for section 8 many times and other programs and I have to wait 10 or 20 years to get in. I don’t understand I worked so hard . I was born in Long Island NY. His puts out a lot of info on senior housing there are 62 and older communities under HUD I’m thankful I got into a nice 1 bedroom apartment and the community buildings are actually beautiful so I would look into HUD 62 and older apartments 🙏❤️

You will need to contact SDHC www.sdhc.org/ and ask for ADA compliant apartment.

I am not yet a 60 something year old senior but I was allowed to move into a senior building because I lost my site and now I am blind and considered disabled. While living in the senior independent living housing under the Housing Authority I have been told that because I am not 62 I am not allowed to partake in any of the programs for seniors… For example, this Summer, 62 year old seniors were given air conditioners because of the extreme heat, we have a residential complex of 188 unit where, 11 of the units are allowed for people with disabilities but if the person with a disability is not yet 60 or 62 went over they could not have an air conditioner. I have suffered The extreme heat and can’t understand why air conditioners were limited to only seniors 60 and over when there are people with disabilities who are suffering as well. I am told that a grant was given for seniors only and that’s how it was left. So, I have lived without air-conditioning for the last four years but this year has proven to be very difficult are there any services for
