that's the kind of tutorial I'd appreciate having a time slider for.

Nice technic, and it would be great if adobe make a node for custom hand made curves or develop further the svg panel for more and diverse creativity...it is functional but a bit limited in precision type of design

Yes definitely. I have seen some solutions internally around this. I will ask about the status.

The Directional Warp is so much more useful than one might initially think. I love how one can make a chevron shape so easily using a Shape node and Gradient Linear 3 node plugged into a Directional Warp. Tricks like that, and this one, are really great to know. They save a lot of time, since you don't have to create everything more manually. EDIT: Quick question: Is there a reason you set the Intensity on the Directional Warp to 90 or is that just because it give you roughly the value you need while being easy to remember?

Oh, this was just a base start. Changing the direction will give me a horizonal or vertical wrap.

@@wes.mcdermott All right, Wes, thank you for the reply. Also, I appreciate all your videos on Substance Designer. They've been of great help in helping me understand what can be done in Designer. Which reminds me, I should probably go through some of the videos you made, on the Substance KZbin channel, now that I have more experience with the program. I'll probably retain the information better now that I know more about what I'm doing.

Hoping there will be a "ID Map Node" for creating ID maps for trimsheets that you can edit directly! Instead of going into Photoshop for the bitmap.

On second thought, you can technically do this using an SVG node.

Is this substance printer?

This app is Substance Designer. It our node-based material/texture creation tool. It's best used to create base materials, filters and generators.

@@wes.mcdermott ah yes i was really confused. So needed a quick suggestion, should i go with painter ir designer? Which one gives more advance tools and features?
@qhhuetran6 ай бұрын
Entirely depends on what you are planning to do. If you want to create base textures, use substance designer, and if you want to use those base textures and combine them in different layers (a bit like photoshop) use Susbtance Painter. This is a very very rough summary. I suggest using the trials and seeing what workflow you need more or whether to use them both @@wackerstube6020
