I truly believe that dogs can sense their owner’s upsets. I feel like that’s why Franny seemed a little more eager than usual to make you smile and almost ‘distract’ you from being upset. Such a sweet dog. And I’m really sorry that you lost your wallet Stella. I hope someone will find it and and mail it to you.

Stella, I have done "the great wallet disappearing act" MANY times over the course of my 17 years as a Flight Attendant!" When you started to explain what happened, I literally felt your level of stress and anxiety because CHILE, I have BEEN THERE! No fun! On the bright side though, you have an amazing husband who came home to join you for pizza, and all of that other stuff is just that, stuff. It can be replaced. I'm just so glad to hear your manager was kind enough to let it slide and you weren't stuck going on a multi day pairing w/out any money or identification! On another positive note, from now on, you'll have a "ritual" for wherever your wallet goes, at least for the next year or two! Smile! :)

Yes as a native New Yorker I have learned never to take my pocketbook or rather wallet out. you know what money you're going to need ahead of time if you knew you were buying a MetroCard you lay the money out ahead of time so you don't even have to touch your wallet so no one knows where it is. same thing with shopping if you know you're going shoping you better put your credit card in a separate location than your wallet little form of self-defense. Because yes someone may have taken it but also maybe you dropped it. Sorry you had this experience hope you learn a different way to get your money in public . The worst part is that you lost a gift that was an emotional precious. It's a shame not to be able to use these Subway or to have bad feelings about using it. If it was taken at least you weren't robbed or injured. Best wishes.

Sorry you had a bad day 😔 ... but I'm glad you're doing better! 😊 As for your plant, you have plenty of light, just don't over water. Check the soil if moist then it doesn't need water. Water it 1 to 2 times a week & plants can be tempormental too. They're sensitive of you move them from their favorite position. Test it & see & let me know.😅

Stella-love, we've all been there and it's so gut-wrenching when it happens. I, too, lost an LV wallet on the esplanade in NYC. Start fresh and going forward do a little "pre-flight" checklist with your wallet, making sure it's safely tucked in your purse before racing on to the next mission. So sorry this happened to you.

My son lives in NY and he was pick-pocketing a couple times- that I am aware of any ways 1) his cell phone out of his back pocket, & #2 his back pack he had sitting on the floor was taken while he was at a bar. Its super upsetting to say the least! You feel so horrible. I am sure you were targeted girl- Bart was so sweet trying to make things right for you! Brownie Points for him!

Sorry you got pickpocketed- I got picked in the Shenzhen metro with someone behind me- I caught them in the act. The moron then actually tried to run up a coming down escalator while I was yelling for police- such a Benny Hill moment, haha!!!

Years ago I thought that I got pickpocketed too but turns out I just lost my wallet in Brooklyn. However, a few months later it was mailed back to me with a note and all my cards and my license which by then had been replaced. The person did take all my cash "as a reward" but I was just happy to get my Prada wallet back that I bought on vacation in Italy. I hope that you get your beloved wallet back too!

I had my purse stolen from under my desk at work one time. The door to the back of the building was open because air wasn't working. I not only lost my favorite purse, by also a shell necklace my husband bought me on our first trip to Pensacola FL. It's a sad sad feeling. I'm sorry for your loss, it's not your fault, someone took advantage.

I'm so sorry about your wallet. Totally frustrating! Don't forget to update any accounts or subscriptions you have that are linked to your credit card. We have quite a few, so I made a list for times like this since we've had fraud a few times over the past several years and had to close our credit card account out. Good luck, Stella!

Im so sorry. Since moving to NYC I have lost my wallet several times! Its so hard because you're going up down, in out .. carrying shopping bags, jackets, purse, etc.. its so easy to misplace. Its not like when you have a car.. its not your fault.. Its also a pain to renew stuff, etc. i still haven't replaced my license and now use my passport which is not wise..

You were probably pick pocket she is correct. Those people I have a habit of looking for a person that’s in a hurry or confused that’s why you should leave early when you going to work. This way you can pay more attention to your surroundings .... and not worry if you’re going to be late to work .. hope you did not lose lots of money .. besides your salary from your two trips ..

My biggest fear as far as being pick pocketed or robbed as a flight attendant would be losing my phone/wallet and my wallet/employee id lanyard. It’s like losing my main wallet and then losing my backup wallet. Needless to say, those are 2 items that stay attached to my body while at work lol A tip they told us in training was to have backup cash/Visa card in our actual suitcase for emergencies if we got robbed or lost our wallets. Aww I know the feeling of loosing a wallet. I lost mine in London on my 2nd day of the trip and I still had 5 more days left and Paris to visit. Lol I also told myself that I was pickpocketed to make myself feel better and that their was no way it was my fault. I still had a blast and didn’t let it ruin my school trip. Coming back home 🇺🇸 made me realize how long of a process it is to get new bank cards and a drivers license since they check to see that hopefully no one had tried to steal my identity in the week it took me to get back home.
