Going through the mid life crisis & the journey of self discovery without running mad is success for me. Ladies, that 28-34 (age) got me question my entire reason for existing. I had lots of questions regarding every aspect of my life & had no clear answers and that felt like I was failing, everything from career, relationships, clarity, knowing who I really am, weight, skin, literally everything and coming out of that with some sanity feels like winning a trophy 🏆. Oh life!

I love the fact that people shouldn't shame others for having different versions of success. Prim, Claire and Kemi, this was a loaded episodes and thank you for unveiling it so well. I've grown to resonate with your mature minds. I learnt to celebrate my friends ' successes especially those that I would define otherwise. And somehow I felt the value of non- monetary presence we offer and receive from friends and family.

That thing of rent is true even here in Kenya. It's like you would rather sleep hungry in your own house. Buying land and building a home is like the major measure of success.

The conversation on privilege I think is deeper than that though. People can’t work themselves hard out of certain situations man… otherwise market vendors and entrepreneurs in Kampala would be the wealthiest. Some understanding of intersectional politics maybe…. Then there’s capitalism.

Prim, is it possible for you to allow your friends to speak with you not interjecting? I'm kindly requesting. It's difficult to clearly hear what the other girls are saying without your constant interjection. Just keep silent until the girls are done speaking or until it's your turn, please.
@Afroniceties6 ай бұрын
Your tone isn't nice sis. You sound rather too entitled! You could have been kinder especially because you're not paying these people for doing the beautiful work they're doing.
@Flourish_today6 ай бұрын
My tone was perfect. You read too deep into it. I even kindly asked. If you think its not rude to interject each time someone it talking them clearly, there is something wrong with you too.
@Afroniceties6 ай бұрын
@@Flourish_today I was very specific on not commenting on the content of your comment and instead commented on delivery. I don't think it's okay to interject while others speak. I however don't think Prim does this. But even if it were true that she did, you could have delivered your criticism in a better way! "Just keep silent" literally sounds like your taught her how to do content and now she's not following your rules... She's not a little girl. She deserves respect even if she has done something that to you seems wrong. Especially because she clearly doesn't intend to do said wrong act.
