Graduate architecture student here!! Unfortunately for me, my professors did not introduce any BIM software to us when we were still at school. I am now struggling because firms are looking for apprentices with BIM skills and I just happened to find your channel! Ive got my hopes up now as I am learning a lot about using revit with your tutorials! Thank you so much!

Doing the same transition from AutoCAD and SketchUp to Revit. How's it going 2 months down the line?
@artifundio1 Жыл бұрын
I am just starting the transition, it's been hard. I find that each operation takes so many steps. I'm still adjusting to the new way of thinking. I really love SketchUp, since 2003. This is like cheating your spouse 😅

awesome tips.Thank you for that. I'm coming from Rhino and have a hard time to adjust the shortcuts. It seems that every "Ctrl+..." command wont work, as it just gives the annoying windows ringing sound when I use the command. Any Idea why that is?

I have a quick question. I created a shared parameters door tag for clear width. Now door mark tags no longer show up in that project. When placing a door it shows a “?”. Is there a way to make Tag by Placement Tool for door tags default to Mark or another specific parameter without going to the Type Selector? If this is too much of a hassle, no worries. Thanks again.
@kylesinko2 жыл бұрын
@@cmpremlap Hey mate, should be an easy fix to revert the default tag back to how it was. With the "Tag by Category" tool selected, in the options bar (the ribbon below the main toolbar) you'll see a button that says "Tags...". Click that and you can change your door tag back to the previous family. Sounds like there is something wrong with the family you've created. I encourage you to check out these tutorials to help with creating door and window tags: 1: a more basic approach: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hnaynWV6mr6tmas 2: a smarter way to use door and window tags: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gZDSpaCOmaiSac0 Cheers, hope that helps

Can you do a similar beginner and intermediate course on Rhino, Grasshopper too. That would be really helpful. And Thank You for making these series on Revit for us. I am a 6th Sem B.Arch student, I had a tough time while learning Revit on my own but thanks to you, now I am confident on using Revit for my School Projects rather than using SketchUp. If possible please do one on rhino and Grasshopper too. ✌️

Revit for certain. Your archicad skills will transfer too. I'd also have a play around with Photoshop and any rendering software you like the look of. Enscape, Vray and Lumion just to name a few

A layer... that's so misleading on how to use worksets... using it for visibility control is an overall bad practice.
@agnesagnes28711 ай бұрын
Second that .The coordination and clash checking will be more complex with the consideration of work set . Using workset is more impactful when doing official submissions in the same team. Other than that, workset is rarely used
