For me the toughest thing about already being a GC and trying to get into commercial work is there's a very tight knit in crowd that gets the large commercial stuff.... Even though I'm not quite ready for that front end loading on cash flow I think what I'm gonna do is go around to local small businesses and introduce myself and hand out a card.

Keep grinding hoss. Looks like your mood is improving, glad to see it. It’s crazy how up and down our emotions are as business owners especially when we’re growing.

How much are you into product and tools that are sitting there? Well over a million from what I can see. How is that finianced? The reason I am asking is because everything I have on credit is 30 day net and there is no way I could float that.

That’s why you need cash. You probably have right around what you’ve speculated and equipment and material and to get there we had to put up a lot of money of our own.

@@SuccessfulContractor Well, you have said that you started from scratch. This is not true.The only thing you said, was you were not taking a salary that you were still being paid from SWI Wyoming. Your first video on this new venture clearly said within 30 seconds of that video " Only using my money, No investor money, No huge piles of cash we have" But it looks like you have used the "Huge pile of cash" which is not the core of your videos. I did notice this, your investments are never mentioned in your accounting vids.You have given the illusion you did this as a "True" start up. Sorry this is not true. Don't get me wrong, I like your content and it is solid advice. I just feel you are not being completely honest.

In the future will you try and record that income as deposits or keep on the way you’re doing now? I’m my mind, income is income so why would you need to record deposit income as deposit? I guess you would want to do that for more accurate financials ..?
@SuccessfulContractor
@SuccessfulContractor Жыл бұрын
It is not income until it’s earned. When somebody provides a 50% deposit it’s actually a liability because if they demand a refund you would need to pay that money out.

Congratulations on getting a second sales rep. That's huge! I look forward - soon, I hope - to when your shiny new equipment will be scuffed from a LOT of use! But in meantime, get a haircut, will you?? The back of your hair looks like Joe Biden's. Sheesh. And show us the dang tattoo!

Nope the hair stays. My wife likes it and you can’t overrule her. I believe the tattoos available online somewhere but you have to know the right places to look.

@@SuccessfulContractor I would never dare to cross the Mrs. But I'm just saying, neighb9or-like, don't be surprised if someone says to you, "He, Blue Collar Joe? Is that you?" Just be ready.
