This succulent tapestry took three days to create with 4 helpers. It’s been such a long time since I have had the opportunity to make a tapestry and I loved every second of it!

Thank you for including an explanation of the irrigation system in this video. I hope for more of the same in the future. I currently have the common kind that run to Lantanas in my front. I am going to add a few boulders and I have some nice cacti going in. I’d like to see how the irrigation system can be modified. Laura, thank you so much for all you do. No one does yards like yours. When I see other cactus landscaping it looks so boring and wrong! No one makes it look natural like you do. I’m so glad to see that your subscriber number is growing. I want you to continue forever! ❤️

This has to be one of my favorites. I love how the front came out and I'm so glad you said that it gave off an undersea kind of feel because I was thinking the exact same thing and I would have done exactly what you did with the ribbons / tentacles. I love it. I always say I wish you would do more succulent tapestries especially in a garden such as this one it just gives a little extra dash of glitter. I love the way this one turned out

I have missed you guys!!! Beautiful installation. Giving me the inspo to put the finishing touches on my mound and add the ribbons....But first I want to slowly upgrade to subterranean drip and get rid of my Mickey Mouse drip system. Can you link brand and materials used for the subterranean drip irrigation.

Looks gorgeous x Just wondering....would you ever do a blue foliage garden with blue rocks as the colours of blue 'chalksticks'...? Not sure they have the same name in your neck of the woods x
@audreyford21713 жыл бұрын
Hi Laura! I love this instillation so much! The darker ribbon really sets everything off and makes the plants pop. Irrigation question. I have a large pot of succulents near a grassy area and it’s getting hit by the sprinklers a bit. Will the plants be ok to get a small bit of water a couple of times a week or will they get damaged over time?
@LauraEubanks3 жыл бұрын
They should be fine assuming the pot has adequate drainage.

I thought the river rock take the installation abit down.. would be better if they put a black cover
@LauraEubanks3 жыл бұрын
We chose the river rock for cohesion. This rock “arroyo” is native to the area and is featured in EVERY wall, yard, open space and garden for a twenty mile radius! Remember, the first rule of design is that it has to make sense. Thus the burgundy “accents” While black rock is dramatic and really makes the plants pop, it’s also very hot and impossible to keep clean. Note the borrowed landscape next door to this installation? We had a large pine tree and numerous messy shrubs to compete with. A lighter color stone, mitigates the appearance of detritus. Thanks so much for your comment!!! I need to address these considerations in my videos!

I so badly want to do this. I want to have my own succulent design and landscaping business. The only part I don’t think I can do is irrigation but my bf absolutely LOVES irrigation! And I learn quick. I know where to get succulents I know where to get rocks. I know how to advertise. But I just don’t know how to start. I live in an apartment so I don’t have anywhere I can practice or do my first project. I can’t ask anyone to practice on their yard bc what if I mess up I can’t charge them for practice. And I don’t have the money to practice. How do you even start? Just jump head first into a project and hope you do everything right so you can charge your client so you don’t go bankrupt? Succulents are my passion and I know I could do this if I could just start.
@LauraEubanks3 жыл бұрын
Yep! Just jump in! Communicate clearly with your client. Tell them this is your first gig. Manage expectations and execute to the best of your ability. Always be willing to fix mistakes. You can do it!
