You're beheading the succulent Romeo. Succulents are overgrowing in your garden too. I grow succulents on the veranda of my apartment, so I always envy your garden with plenty of sunlight. Korea was today's biggest holiday,'Seolnal' (1.1 lunar calendar). Due to the coronavirus, the Korean government recommends that no more than 5 people gather, and most of the people did not meet according to the government's policy. These days, the temperature in Korea is 2~3 degrees below zero at night and 7~8 degrees during the day, and spring is coming soon. Perhaps your garden will soon fall I got to know the succulent plant Romeo through your video, and now it has become one of my beloved succulents. I'm growing a pot right now, but I have a problem with the root, so I'm pulling it out and drying it. Fortunately, Mommy's Romeo is big. I like your videos always full of joy. Have a happy day

🎶 Hallelujah 🎶 Hallelujahs Ha Ha Ha I am singing with you😊😊😊very nice update Lizzy. Ughhhh you have bad chopper too? (Eating your Echeverias). It took me months to figure out whose eating mine. One morning I was up a little early and went at my back door just to glance my succulents. I seen something moving behind my Echeveria’s.....It’s a bird, it’s a red cardinal 🥲🥲🥲...this bird love to chop off my pretty and chubby rosettes. I thought it was a rat! I was ready to put some cheese out there for a bait😀 Our temperatures here in S. Texas is getting really cold like -12 C by Monday? Brrrrr....I hope my succulents all survive🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼❤️❤️❤️

Copper tape with a sticky back put around the legs of your shelves will repel slugs. Maybe it will work on 🐌 also. You can get the tape at a stained glass shop. Get it as wide as you can so it is less winding. Hope this hint helps.

I'm so happy for you Liz. It's very exciting when you see babies growing. I'm very sad to find that my only Romeo Rubin rotted this morning, couldn't even save one single leaf. Now too scare to buy another one. That one was so expensive for me. It was one of my favourite succulents. 😥 now have only Romeo and Taurus left. I hope they won't die on me. I like to try to head chop them next spring.

Are indirect bright sunlight good for the Echeverias? The arrangement of succulent is the most tricky in my opinion, Coz one has to consider the light requirements for each. Liz your great for managing so many of your succulent babies and it's an art which only few can manage well 💯💐

Hi Liz firstly I just love that Pedro. The cutest bird ever! I’m interested in the etiolation. Why wouldn’t you have put those bluebird heads back where they were before if they weren’t etiolated before?
@GrowingSucculentswithLizK3 жыл бұрын
So I could do this video and better demonstrate...LOL Kidding aside, I love experimenting and I have a lot of beautiful sun grown Blue bird but none are etiolated. This is to demonstrate that even with bright light, they'll still etiolate. Thanks for watching.

@GrowingSucculentswithLizK3 жыл бұрын
If you have an area indoors where they can be kept warm, they will continue to grow roots(slow) even in Winter. But in my experience, they grow much quicker if beheaded in the last couple of weeks of winter to prepare them for Spring planting where the roots grows much faster.

Hi Liz❤ i have a simple question i haven't been seen asked before on channels. And my question is do you keep your still slightly wet soil in the container closed or open until dried completely. The reason this question is important to me is because I'm always afraid insects will lay their eggs in it when kept open and if kept closed then it might mold
@GrowingSucculentswithLizK3 жыл бұрын
I have it closed but find that the gnats are already in the soil that I buy, so I tend to mix a small amount at a time. I used to have them all in the open and now planning to go back having it open. When it dries up, that seem to also kill the gnats.

Love watching the progress after beheading! Can I ask - when will you water the newly potted young plants? I see you just nestle them in the granite chips so do they root better than straight into soil? Thank you x
@GrowingSucculentswithLizK3 жыл бұрын
Watering it without roots will guarantee a root rot. Since the soil is still moist, it will encourage the plant to grow roots and since having the granite in between, no contact between soil and plant which prevents root rot. I'll check on it after a week to see if there's roots and when the roots shows...I'll give it a good drink.
