Just ordered the yarn for this from Joann. Mary Maxim should be ashamed of themselves - it was.going to cost me $70 with shipping and 30% off from them. Hello from Fairview Heights!! I am a pattern reader, so I rarely watch tutorials unless I'm learning something new, which is often, but this blanket was beautiful and I started the video to see what yarn you used. I then couldn't stop watching. You are a very good teacher and I may have to watch more of your tutorials! This is the kind of blanket I love to do. I call it zen crocheting because it's a simple repeat that I don't have to pay super close attention to and can just get lost in the motion. I’m never able to get the yarns recommend but usually find something suitable , sometimes have to change hook size. Once I was given Caron simply soft yarn n it was lovely to work with n the texture n final product was lovely

Beautiful blanket! I was watching your other video when you announced you would be doing a tutorial on this blanket. At that time, I did not know what name of the speckled yarn you'd used, but I tried to find it through the video picture. I did that day! I got the right one, Vintage. I decided to make the border with the Caron Country Blue and Bone. I can't wait to start. Today is the first day I am able to watch this video all the way through and actually begin the blanket.
