I've positioned one monitor above the main one and located the Chat window at the bottom of it. I clamped my cam on the top of the main monitor. Now the cam is directly beneath the chat. This is very nice for the viewers. I can look very often right into the cam and create a feeling that I'm directly engaging them

I use "Chatty" because it gives you a sound notification (you can customize it to any sound) every time someone chats. It's good for smaller streamers or streamers who are drawing and can't keep turning to look at chat.

Personally i don't like this approach. I appreciate lurkers and busting them without them even have a word to say makes the shy ones just panic and leave (maybe never return). I know some people who lurk my streams who don't say anything during stream. Sometime later they might tell me about them lurking (my ex who now is my friend for example, few other streamers have told me this too). I respect them enough not to make them feel uncomfy by just telling everyone online that "hi you, i see you". I don't want to creep them out. But i guess its just my channel and my countrys culture where personal space is really respected. Some more outgoing places this tool works probably as advantage if the people who get recognized get a feel-good emotions.. but in my community.. nah.

I'll be honest... I can read very well so I wasn't expecting to get much out of this video when I clicked it but there are still some great pointers here. I didn't realize you could popout the chat and move it. That will really help me with the other point you made: having my chat really close to my line of sight instead of all the way on the right side of my second monitor. Keep up the great work Wild, I watch your videos all the time.

I only have one monitor and the thing I use for reading the chat is Restream's chat app partially because I sometimes stream on other games but also because it overlays over whatever you are playing and you can set it to only interact with your mouse when pressing the control key (windows obviously). It does mean you need to put the game into windowed/windowed fullscreen however, otherwise it won't show up over the game.

Wild4Games do you have a discord to discuss this kind of thing? That’s what I’m wrestling with right now, given I like the option of having videos Incase you need a break, though people seem to prefer twitch Then you run into, some games seem more popular on one platform than another - or if you’re variety and popular enough, you can pull viewers to a game more than that game would generally get. Definitely an interesting topic I’m trying to figure out! And need help!

Wild4Games today my average stream viewers is close to 2 and I have 16 followers. I’m scared my average will never reach 3. When and if I do reach the affiliate status, how much income can I expect? I’m expecting very little but I would appreciate an estimate, thanks :)

I know im late to the advice party, but here is one REALLY important tip when playing multiplayer games: Make it obvious with your ingame name, that you are streaming! My Stream is twitch.tv/chronor007 and ingame i just named myself "Chronor007". You would be surprised how much attention that little rename to for example "TTVChronor007" can make!

Nice info! but when you're in a Rave-Like DJ Streamer Chat with over 24,000 people, forget about reading everything. Just carefully navigate/swim thru the fast crawling _"river of type"_ and get _"the gist"_ of what everyone's saying, then chime in with them or shock the system with an outlandish reply or observation. Careful though, this could make the _"type river flow"_ bend your way and *drown* your a........ !
