Thank you Dr. Ben! These success stories provide so much more than you even may realize. Archana was just so delightful when discussing her journey with hearing loss and tinnitus. It is a process and she outlined it quite clearly, step by step! Little baby steps actually, but eventually you get there. We always need hope!

This is great. I also like Archana experience hearing lost and tinnitus after I recovered from Covid back on November/December 2020. Seems like our process through the tinnitus ordeal are very similar. I went through several ENT Doctors until I found the Tinnitus Association which has helped greatly learn how to manage my tinnitus to a point that I am able to continue with somewhat a normal life and sleeping.

Man this was soooooo helpful, because just like her mines came on after having Covid and a dose of the vaccine as well, not saying that there is a correlation, but stating exactly when I started to develop constant tinnitus. I love how she said to compartmentalize everything, because brain fog and short term memory has also become an issue for me as well, and I start a new job in a week and I'm terrified that between the brain fog and the tinnitus, I won't be able to do my job to the best of my ability, so by using her blueprint hopefully It will help me overcome that anxiety. I did go to an ENT back in July who did the conventional hesring test and said that my hearing was 100% fine, so my question to you is, is it too late to go to an audiologist and still get tested for hearing loss since it has been six months since my tinnitus first became constant? Because I still suffer from spikes that become intrusive and very loud at times which makes me think that my hearing is getting worse.
@addiea.96582 жыл бұрын
My ENT also did my hearing test and he said I have a slight hearing loss but that’s okay with my age ( late 20s) . So, mine isn’t due hearing loss. He was so nice and asked me to think what might hav contributed to it. I told him about the stress and the iron deficiency and all the vitamin tests ( which were normal). He listened and said stress is a trigger and checked me for TMJ. He cleaned my ears and said reduce your stress and come back to him. He told me as my tinnitus is not due to a hearing loss , my tinnitus can go away . I just need to find the cause and we are starting with stress management.

Typically, hearing does not change very quickly. We recommend annual hearing tests unless you are noticing a change in your hearing status.

This sudden hearing loss is exactly what happened to me a year ago but I had some tinnitus before so after the loss the tinitus was much worse. Attempts to revive the hearing in the one ear via steroid injection failed but I would be interested to know what caused the patients hearing loss in the first place,was an ENT consultant involved in diagnosing for he or she should have been to identify the cause.. In my case it was put down to an autoimmune response. Comments please.

That (for me) is part of what is so frustrating. It's idiopathic. Kudos for trying the injection. That was rough!

I have exactly what she had tinnitus in my left ear 👂 and I believe I had it the same time I had covid... I was so scared.and didn't know what to do... I visited the ENT doctor and after two visits he said I don't have an organic disease....after hearing that ... I decided not to go to any other doctors... and not to talke about it ...so I did meditation 😌 and read some books about how to heal my self alone ... I'm from Sudan and one of my friends told me that some times when you are surrounded by negative news and your emotionally in a bad condition your ear refuse to hear mentally... we have political issues and people are being killed in every protest ... I hope it goes away soon... P.S. .1.being close to God helps 🤲 .2.meditation helps 🧘♀️🧘♂️ .3.being thankful and grateful helps 🙏

I also experienced tinnitus about two weeks after getting my covid shot. It is definitely from the shot! It’s just sad that no one told her that she was already immune after having covid and did not need to get the shot. Now she has hearing loss.
@jbird10122 жыл бұрын
Mine started suddenly, months before I got vaccinated. I was overwhelmed and really struggling with sounds while standing in line for the shot. I remember thinking that if It had started after that shot, no one in the world would have been able to convince me that it wasn't the direct cause of this condition.

@@IamTx216 Oh my gosh. That stinks. Man, this is an awfully difficult situation to navigate. So frustrating to never really know. I'm really sorry this happened to you. (and me.) I think we found a good channel here. Maybe it will get better with time. Hope so.

Same, basically 2 weeks later I had some sort of ear infection and tinnitus sound increased. Had tinnitus at a lower level for years before but just as I got the jab it got louder. Coincidence? Doubtful!

I’m not sure if anyone is still reading these comments but I literally am going through the same thing. I would love to reach out to Archana somehow! I had Covid back in Jan and 2 weeks later had the same thing happen. Went from dr to dr and was told I have Eustachian tube dysfunction. ENT gave me high dose prednisone but I was too late. I have an appointment with audiologist in 2 weeks. Would love to know the type of hearing aides she has and do you have to have them in both ears if it’s just one affected. The volume of everyone around me is making so so upset and sad. I’m a teacher as well.

The auditory pathways cross, therefore, we recommend bilateral stimulation even when tinnitus is only perceived on one side. We would be happy to help you on your own tinnitus journey.

I had this happen back in August. Woke up 90% deaf in my left ear, and super loud ringing. Wasn't properly treated and now is permanent. I was able to adjust for the ringing by the new year but had a loud event that started me all over. Question is, I also feel pressure/ pain inside my head and I am curious if it is safe to fly??
