Are you referring to councils going 'bankrupt'? Well, the Conservatives don't look so good in that regard (and, if anything, the LDs come out on top). And, of course, all but the most hardened liar would have to concede that the financial troubles so many councils find themselves in are, at least to some extent, the result of Conservative Party policies at a government level. I know, it's a bit much to ask someone barely capable of putting a sentence together these questions, but I am still curious.

The only connections I have are via: a) his (ex) Permanent Secretary at The Board of Trade who reckoned him to be the ablest minister he ever served. Even more able than Heseltine… which surprised me b) a neighbour who lived next to Peter when he was a child in Hampstead. Nice kid; very academic; most polite c) a pal who was in the ‘Young Communists’ with him. Reckoned him sincere in his wish to do good Mandelson has good both and bad characteristics. But he’s never been remotely wealthy and…has no connection to any global conspiracy with which you are aware. Pip pip!

What is populist about attacking the most vulnerable in our society? If she thinks homelessness is a lifestyle choice she should spend a week on the streets with just dole to survive on. No Gucci bag with her little credit card in, no friends to call upon, and visit the homeless shelters and see exactly the crux of the problem which is woefully underfunded due to her party.
