Blotted Science, Haemorrhage, Siksakubur, Amorphis, Pathology, Garden of Shadows, Binah, Puteraeon, Nocturnus, Condemned, Obtenebris, Meadows End, Allagaeon, Aeveron, Disentomb, Nile, Revocation. I'm not saying all those bands are legendary status, but they're all good, all but two of them are active, and they're proof that the Death Metal scene is thriving. And that was just a small list.

Napalm Death is grindcore, not death metal. Nile and Dying Fetus are tech death, Suffocation themselves are classified as brutal tech death (I'm not even sure what the point of the brutal is), and Revocation are technical death/thrash, nothing core about them. If you're going to correct someone on genres, know your own shit.

List is full of technical death metal and the good ones (decapitated, Nile) are bands from the 90's anyway, the slam bands you listed are all owned by Disgorge and Devourment (also 90's). Some of the bands you've listed are good and yes the Death Metal scene is also good but that isn't what I was disputing. Despite it being good it hasn't surpassed what has already been produced. Even the smaller bands of old like Entombed, Autopsy, Grave, Unleashed, Malevolent Creation and Vader still kill it.
