Great fucking sound man, this is what brutal death metal is supposed to sound like. Heavy, raw and in your face. No bullshit wimply performances altered with digital studio processing nonsense. They sound just like their Morrisound days on this one. It's been years since I checked the new Suffo stuff. Damn this is real DM, as it must be played..Was lucky to see them on the Pierced...Tour, in '91 +/- a year.. Mullen have THE most perfect DM-vocal, especially for a European, its just DAAMN cool to hear his US-way of showing how to make sharp growling.. A perfect balance between growling & raw shouting.. this is the HEAVIEST band that has ever existed......good lord...... that distortion is seething and ungodly powerful. i really have never heard anything quite like suffocation in terms of sheer crushing brutality. maybe it's terrence's warlock or the dimarzio pickups, or the combination of his peavey triple xxx and the vader cab which is most assuredly mid scooped. not sure. also props to mike and his meticulous sense of rhythm. you guys are my favorite DM band, always groove in those chops
