Thanks for the suggestion. My album 'Poem for a Glacier' will probably come out end of november 2020. It's not a jazz album, lots of acoustic guitars and more of an atmospheric folk-jazzy sound. Check it our then, you'll find it on CD and on all download or streaming platforms. I will also put some tunes as video performances on KZbin. - Andreas

I need to save up for an archtop. I'm pretty happy with my teles, especially the one with 12 gauge strings on it, but I love the lively feel of an archtop. BTW...those are some beefy looking wires. What gauge are you using? I'm using round wounds right now, but I go back and forth with flats.

I was looking up info on the EXL because I just bought an EXL-1SH for a duo project. Can't wait to get it. Great value instrument. While looking, I stumbled onto your videos. Nice playing and tone - I like the track on this one best of those I listened to so far. I play Sugar in my trio, and it's a sweet tune. Just wondering - are you going direct or using an amp (if so, mind saying what amp)? Did I say, nice tone;-)

+cincyjazz12 Hi, thanks for your comment. For those videos i go directly without amp. Pickup into tube preamp (either an old H&K Tubeman or a TL Audio Tube EQ). Live i use an old Fender Vibroverb 2x10 from the 70ies. - Andreas

I believe they are roundwounds. At least my EXL-1 was delivered with D'Addario roundwounds. As far as I remember it was a 12er set.
