VERY NICE!! No...EXCELLENT!!! Perfect light jazz interpretation - wish there were more videos of this type (taking a popular non-jazz tune performed in a tasty jazz style - without going off the reservation, trying to impress everyone with 18 modal flavors...ha! There are some "attempts" that start off nice, but then leave the tune altogether - trying to be showy and then forget about the "song" interpretation while working up an improv sweat. However, you, my friend, "nailed it"! THANK YOU!

It sounds very beautifull, but as a Hendrix fan, i've listened and played this song thousands of times and it's sooooo much changed that I can't almost recognise it except for a few passages.... though it sounds amazing. Nice guitar also!

urilacambrafrias I could not recognize that at all. I heard a few briefs passes that sounded ok but honestly that was no a very good version. Music is an individual expression so it’s up to interpretation but I just was feeling it. I was really hoping it was better because that guitar and that song are two things I love.

In the studio i do not use an amp, directly into a tube preamp into RME interface into cubase DAW. Live i play a Fender Vibrolux reverb from the mid 70s. - Andreas

Hi Dieter, this voicing is for an Em9 or Gmaj7. The notes are B-F#-G-D. The special sound comes from the close intervall F#-G in the middle of the voicing. On top four strings (D-G-B-E) you have these frets: 9-11-8-10. Fingering: 2-4-1-3. Very useful shape with a rich and romantic sound. - Andreas
