McKenzie was undone by amazing balance and superior hand speed, he did well to last the 3 rounds, a brave performance.

I never get the "running" thing losers always say? Sugar really mixes things up and keeps his opponents of balance. At times he will slug, at times he will dance and move, he does a little of everything in the ring. I would say he is a pretty aggressive fighter, especially here in Olympic fighting were most fighter aren't even looking to stop their opponents short of 3 rounds. Just silly the comments people make, they would only be happy if Ray stood like a statue with his arms at his side and let the opponent knock him out.

I was seven years old when the Montreal Olympics occurred and I was dazzled by Sugar Ray Leonard, and I come from a family of patriotic Olympic fans but devoid of boxing fans. I don't know if it was his personality, his nickname, his fighting style, or all of the above, but I can't remember ever being taken to an athlete that fast (maybe Magic Johnson a couple of years later -- again, maybe that was the nickname as well)

Casuals in comments talking about running. Running is a MYTH. Maybe AJ became a runner after his brutal stoppage by a fat journeyman and 25-1 underdog, but I haven't seen much proof of it. Same guys rather see some dude get hit and eat punches with his face. Many guys are averse to standing toe to toe, but they're not runners.
