@@kammaliek Confessionals are filmed afterwards yes, but in the editing room they provide them a narrative to edit into. Look for them to edit in a story line of Spice coping with the loss if their Twin.

So glad you're back. Also glad this season isn't waiting to cut contestants for five episodes at a time. In honesty I think Spice is more favored by the Judges and the fans who watch the show blindly. I like her I don't think either twin is against the other one doing well. They knew this would happen being twins and a duo aswell.

i have the feeling this lypsinc is Fair because of way the twins performed it. They had a choreography already prepared for it so, maybe, showing one queen more than the other would make it weird to watch. Also, this makes me wonder: when did the twins had time to prepare a choreo for the song if they don't know the chosen song until the filming day or the exact moment where rupaul named it? They had to be somehow told in advance about the results so they can prepare their show... Also, and this is just a rumor, i read somewhere online that the twins didn't audition for the show, they were cast into it; like people said it about Willam back in season 4.

They know all the songs in advance. They probably prepared a routine in advance for all the songs

A lot of the contestants have been cast into it. They have 'producers' who attend drag shows and research social media to select who they like. They then approach them later, suggesting that 'all they need to do is follow the process and they're guaranteed a place'. Several queens have said it happened to them. That's why we often see a lot of queens from the same families, venues or communities. 🖤

Hasn’t one of the US Queens (Roxxy maybe?) said that they have to do the lipsync three times so that they can reposition the cameras between each run? Count the camera angles and compare that with the number of camera operators credited. They don’t have enough resources to capture everything in one take. You can tell by Sugar’s position on the stage when Spice is pulling them across, that they did at least two takes. Her jumps don’t match on the floor tiles.

India vs Mimi in S3 there was some tea spilled that they refilmed the pick-up moment multiple times. Didn't know about Roxxxy, but if you find something let me know, I'm curious about it

I believe that for the Coco Jumbo and Art Simone lip sync on Drag Race Down Under they filmed it multiple times but that was because the original lip sync footage was lost (or something along those lines). It's possible that for some lip syncs they have to be filmed more because of similar issues but for the main US episodes I doubt that production issues like this would happen. It definitely would be interesting to look into more to analyse

The Art V Coco lipsync was refilmed days later because someone didn’t do their job and lost the footage. This is why Art’s performance was so lack-lustre… because he was asked to come back so that they could Re-film him losing. Seems like cruel and unusual punishment.

I was wondering the same thing, the twins were clearly bad at the snatch game, but many queens we saw almost nothing from. We all knew (including the twins themselves from their choreographed performance) the first opportunity to have them lip sync against each other was going to happen. A part of me wonders if the producers took advantage of the shorter run time/large number of queens to hide other subpar performance by omission. We’ll never know if someone did meh if we never see it … and it’s not like the producers don’t have a history of being sketchy *cough, chocolate bar, cough*
